Well the dealer called me today. and service manager thinks he has it fixed.....again..... but they needed to order some o rings and they won't be in until later in the week to get the leak under control. I asked him, then it ain't fixed yet is it!:mur:.....he said no...guess not.. and i said the next time you call me all i want to hear is we got it fixed. and we done the first 50 hr service to boot for you..... All he said was yes sir but that may be next week with the holiday and all.....My reply was that's fine as long as it is fixed for sure but, let's not drag this thing out any longer than we have too. All he said was i will call you when it is fixed and you can come test it again. We shall see.....

It's only Wednesday down here but I just ordered more popcorn  and beer  to last me until after the weekend. :drink:

We think we have it fixed...
We hope we have it fixed...
We might have fixed it...
We have fixed it... maybe...

These are all variations on the "We really don't know if we fixed it or not..."

Great entertainment though and I thank you for posting the day-by-day and blow-by-blow. :proposetoast:

I'm wondering if you have an internal metal hydraulic line crack just as it comes into the sump. Fine for a while until fluids heat up where viscosity change allows it to rear its ugly head. I know on some JD's this requires a tractor split to get at the line. Don't know how the Workmaster is configured but all of it signals lack of fluid someplace that an internal line crack might cause. I certainly hope it's just o-rings but this leak didn't seem evident before when it was still doing it.

OK, I've long been a dealer supporter here but I'm beginning to lose hope. Maybe look at that trade up from the attractive offer the dealer gave you or maybe ask the dealer what you can do to go up the food chain to get a different tractor. Something is not right and even the dealer said good help was hard to find.

Maybe I missed something. Why in the **** are they working on the fuel system if this was a hydraulic problem? Where is the old fuel filter and what was wrong with it on a tractor that has ~34hrs?

Id be demanding a full refund and buying a deere, kubota, kioti, ls, or anything other than a NH from THAT dealer

I think the dealer was expected to perform the 50Hr service after solving the hydraulic problem. I wonder if their working on the 'service' means they have fixed the hydraulics? Haha (Unlikely).

Agreed, however, with LD1 that the fuel filter is a luxury, not a necessity, to getting the tractor back to work.

Hope is fading...

So this is what, a $3.00 fuel filter holding up $30,000.00 dollar tractor and is magically going to fix a hydraulic problem, think this dealer has learned its sales practices from Junior Samples on the old HEE HAW show. Good luck, I'm still hopping for a good outcome for you....................

... service manager now says they are waiting on fuel filter. I told him to go to NAPA.....:duh:

...

That's one of the best takeaway lines from this unfortunate experience.
Remember, they're working on the hydraulic system.
