Here's an update from the dealer:

"Hi James, in talking with service, the top link we installed is an 8". They have, in rare occasions, extended the length of the shaft to accommodate. Meaning, cut off the ball, weld in 2" and weld the ball back on. This would be done to the side closest to the implement. If you want us to do this, let me know and I can take the ram over to the shop. If so, determine how much length you would like to add. We can do the same to the tilt link as well. Let me know. 8" is the largest reach ram that Gearmore has to offer us."

Does this make sense to yall? I guess its not as easy as simply finding another ram with the length specified...I know there's a bajillion hydraulic rams out there. Would it be too much to ask my dealer that I'd rather give them both the rams and get a refund? What are the ones I have worth?

...Maybe I will have to wait for Fit-Rite after all...

I wouldn't be as worried about the length of stroke as much as them being undersized for a cat 2 application. I don't really tend to use mine extended in or out all the way very often if ever but when you go from a cat 1 application to cat 2 there really needs to be bigger cylinders used IMO.

Well... just an update. I was fed up with how my Tn'T cylinders were working so I placed an order back in September with Brian... Today they arrived!!...about 25 weeks or 5 months later. LOL. Not a big deal, I got used to mine in the mean time. So I'm looking forward to installing them maybe Saturday!

They sure are pretty don't ya think?!!

Been there, done that... worth the wait. My Kubota goes back to the dealer on Monday for yet more leaky valves though. TnT cylinders are doing great though. Top is leaking under an inch an hour after the last visit. Tilt extends all the way in under 45 though. :-(

Do you know what they are doing to remedy those leaks? Say I have 3 valves that are stacked, is there an O-ring between each valve? Mine leak down just like yours do, and they also leak externally...I havent told the guys at the dealer yet...Not sure how they would go about it...

All my leakage is internal, nothing external. The only fix is replacing the valve. If it was leaking externally you could likely replace fittings or O-rings.

Mine is still under warranty so I'll keep on my dealer until it's resolved.

If your valve-s leak externally, they most likely were stacked with little to no care and the O-rings got messed up. Or the valve-s is cracked  and will need to be replaced.

Either way, it should be a dealer looked at issue with the tractor still being under warranty.
