Here's an update from the dealer:
"Hi James, in talking with service, the top link we installed is an 8". They have, in rare occasions, extended the length of the shaft to accommodate. Meaning, cut off the ball, weld in 2" and weld the ball back on. This would be done to the side closest to the implement. If you want us to do this, let me know and I can take the ram over to the shop. If so, determine how much length you would like to add. We can do the same to the tilt link as well. Let me know. 8" is the largest reach ram that Gearmore has to offer us."
Does this make sense to yall? I guess its not as easy as simply finding another ram with the length specified...I know there's a bajillion hydraulic rams out there. Would it be too much to ask my dealer that I'd rather give them both the rams and get a refund? What are the ones I have worth?
...Maybe I will have to wait for Fit-Rite after all...
