7 pin connector not connected. I detached the 7 pin connector and just let it hang, I started the toolcat at low rpm's and and pushed the aux hydraulics button on the dash board. I pushed the hight flow switch (the light did not come on) I gradually increased to full rpm's and pushed the high flow switch again, I did not get a light and nor did I hear a difference in the blower sound. Is there a procedure to check and see if I am getting power to the 7 pin connector? Can I do that with a test light and if so what is the proper procedure to check those 7 pins? Thanks, Steve

It should go to high flow with the 7 pin disconnected. My F Series did and the G Series does. I think your D Series would also.

You need to find the solenoid valve that turns on high flow. There is a test procedure in the service manual.

If your chute rotation and deflector are working the issue is not your 7 pin connector (ACD cable) FYI the system is CAN BUS not binary. Depending on the model and software version in the toolcat not all units will turn on when plugged into a HF attachment. Your issue is in the toolcat. You should be able to turn on HF with the ACD cable unplugged. The issue is simply. The controller is not being signaled to turn on HF or the controller is not signaling the valve to turn on hence no indicator light on HF switch. Did you check fuse # 10 yet?:confused2:

HI Jabonee,
Yes I have checked fuse number 10 several times and it is intact. I will try to follow up on the controller. I have the service manual and I will wade through that. Thanks, Steve from Punxsutawney.

Two weeks ago I replaced a fuse (on another vehicle) that looked perfectly fine but when I changed it out, the accessory now worked. It's worth a shot to swap in another fuse before you go any further.

I now have another question and that is about removing the instrument panel on the dashboard. I want to check the continuity of the wire you suggested. I read through the service manual on how to remove the panel but I do not want to damage anything. The service manual says to pry up the bottom corners until you can get a finger under it and then press the two connectors that are located along the right and left side of the panel. I tried this and put a lot of pressure on the bottom and pried it out a distance but not far enough to be able to release the side fasteners. I do not want to break that panel or damage the components behind it. I did have a metal clip fall out from behind that panel already. Have you removed this panel and if so how did you do it. What type of fastener hold the sides in place? Do you need to push one direction or another to release it?
Again, thanks for the help

Removing the display is a real pain !! Its held in by tabs similar to the ones on the HF switch. Once you have the edge pulled up use screw driver at a downward angle to push the tab in.

Have a 2010 Tool cat 5600 I have no power going to radio and can't find fuse box location for radio. Found the two fuse box location on drivers side but no blown fuses. Thanks in advance.

Did it ever work?

Do you know if it is a factory (dealer installed) radio?

My 2013 service manual shows cab fuse 10 feeds #65 of C220, switched battery, radio option.

Don't know about the Toolcat, but car radios usually have a fuse at the back of the radio.

I bought the unit two weeks ago pulled radio out and wired it to a batty and it fired up tested factory harness no power. I ordered service manual but has not showed up yet figured I post here for location till that arrives. Dealer is slow at calling with parts. On a good note if you need service they are slow to bill as well.
