I've had it!!!!!!

Since day one, this tractor has caused me nothing but headaches. Surging rpm which was finally fixed with a new fueling map. Non stop leaks from loader quick disconnects. Then 7 trips to the dealer and over 9 weeks without it this winter through spring. Just over 2 years old too. 2016 1742
I live in and own a horse farm. This is the only piece of machinery and it's used every day. So being without a tractor sucks. My dealer had been amazing through the whole ordeal, giving me a loaner so I had zero down time. So while I was working on my arena last night, I go to pick up a bucket of dirt then all of a sudden the loader bent and it crushing my hood. The top weld for the loader support let go. You can see rust in the corner then can see how bad the weld did not burn in. So now I'm out a machine for God knows how long. Just beyond frustrated. I hear stories of guys having no problems at all over 1000 hours and here I am at just 350..... i hope massey does good by this and takes care of it. Sorry for the rant, just trying not to lose my sanity

Calling that a weld is a compliment. It's a bead that isn't fused at all, may as well have used silicone. I can't see how anyone could give you any grief over that. I feel your frustration..............Mike

Maybe it was welded on a Monday morning in the USA. Why do you think only US welders can lay a good weld? I have seen good but also very poor workmanship since moving to North America. It all depends on quality control. US made cars never have a recall right?

US made cars are made from many imported parts, and assembled in the US. it would be very expensive to manufacture a car that used US made parts only, but that is the way it used to be, and the cars used to last MUCH longer.. btw, ever wonder why you need to use bondo to fix a dent, instead of using lead?. the imported steel panels would warp like mad when heat is applied..

Cars used to last much longer? If you’re talking about age than probably so. Mileage is no comparison.

Jeabus! I can't believe it lasted that long. Who makes loaders for Massey? Me thinks Massey needs to pay for more QC...

Cars did not last longer, they routinely died at 100,000. Modern cars have much better rust resistance and go well over 200,000 with little to no repairs.

Back to the loader. On two of the pictures I see the cracks on both sides of the weld, some have rust. The welds must have been cracking for some time already. I also see the tractor has industrial tires. Why would you have industrial tires on a horse farm? Maybe the tractor was to light for its use.
