Honda Ridgeline Pickup anyone?

It's a unibody, not a real truck. The bed is small. I really don't see a lot of utility in it. A full sized pickup with king cab and a 6-8 foot box makes more sense to me. The towing capacity is about half that of a regular pickup. Tractor Time with Tim had a Ridgeline, and towed his JD 1025R with it, but in recent videos he has a regular pickup, and it seems much more capable.

We still have our Ridgeline. We absolutely love it!

We have larger plans for our business, so we had to get a larger rig.

The F350 is nice, I guess, but we would much rather drive the Ridgeline.

The Ridgeline is ~half the price of the F350 (similarly equipped). Smoother ride, quieter, easier to park, etc.

Of course the F350 is ‘more capable’.

You just have to determine your needs. If not for the potential gooseneck in our future, we would never have bought the larger truck.

Who cares if it's a truck? It has a bed on the back and if all you will ever do is haul stuff to the dump, pick up stuff at the store, and put your bikes in the back then it fits your needs. Isn't fitting your needs the main thing that matters? Sure there's looks. I know people who drive dually with a diesel because it makes them feel like they are driving a semi. They don't have brake controllers in them so they don't tow. They have a bed liner that looks like the day it was installed so they don't haul much. I have one friend who owns a diesel simply because of the sound.

To me the wife's Rav4 is nothing more than a Corolla wagon with awd and a little more ground clearance. I'd never call it an SUV but it's exactly what we need. The reviews said it didn't handle as good as some of the other brands when pushed hard in the corners and it felt as sporty. But who cares. We didn't buy it to go around the Nurburgring to set a record lap time. We bought it because of the room and it's reliability. The back is pretty low so the dogs can get in and out easy and with the rear seats folded down I have stuff more stuff than I have ever thought would fit. So what is a "truck" or an "SUV"?

From the wiki:
truck or lorry is a motor vehicle designed to transport cargo.
It's like the definition of lake -
A lake is an area filled with water, localized in a basin, that is surrounded by land, apart from any river or other outlet that serves to feed or drain the lake
When I took my Freshwater Limnology class in college the Professor was adamant that ANY body of water could be called a lake.
My VW Jetta Sportwagen is designed to transport cargo, my future Transit Connect is designed to transport cargo.

I don't understand why anybody should look down on another person's vehicle because it's too big or too small; the only exceptions are if somebody can't safely drive a big vehicle, or their auto is too small for what they use it for so they are endangering the safety of their fellow motorists.
Tacoma is a nice truck and gives 20+ mpg; but they ride like my 8N Ford. If the Ridgeline fits your needs then that is what I would get; it's a Honda, so you know that it's going to be dependable.

If you can stand by a body of water and see the entire shoreline, it is a pond. If you cant see it all, its a lake. If its a honda, its pretty reliable.

Never know... situations change and there could be a good used Ridgeline in my future...

I doubt I will go Super Duty... just the weight fees here are expensive...

Just paid $280 to renew 1 year tags on my 1985 Chevrolet Van... should have got one with seats and taken them out and saved thousands over the years!!!

It cost used to be $25 and I think it’s $30 now for every passenger vehicle. I pay $60 for 16000 pound plates on my dump truck. I could get by with regular tags, but it’s not worth possibly getting a ticket.

Plates by weight, what is that? Commercial plates?

I saw a old Buick stationwagon with wooden panels on the side and duals pulling a gutter machine on a 16' tandem trailer. It made me laugh but it worked for the guy. There is not just one way to get things done.
