County Line Post Hole Digger - Watch which one you get!

I have a few things from TSC. Most have been ok for the price. I tend to only purchase the heavier items. I know some of their stuff was King Kutter, which is made about 45 miles north of me. 30 years ago I did some work for them. But I don't think TSC buys from them any longer. Not sure as to why.
Two years ago, my son bent my PHD with his 25hp tractor. I had used it for 30 years on my 35hp tractor with no problems. Going to fast and hit a rock. Also bent to top link on the tractor.
Hard to tell where some of this equipment comes from today. I believe in checking it over as best I can.

Should'nt it of broke the shear pin ? Maybe you all have wrong size shear pin on it . If I recall correctly from years ago they use a number 5 ?

Mine specifically calls for a 5/16x3”, Grade 5 bolt.

Agree, it should have sheared the pin. It also calls for a Grade 5 bolt. But it didn't. Sometimes it happens. But I think speed was the problem. He had never used it before on his tractor and trying to go fast in ground with large rocks. Too small a tractor (frame, no hp). I will need to check the bolt, to make sure that it has not been replaced with the wrong one. In a rush, I could have done it myself.

On tractors with DPF that do regens (which is all except Branson), they'll just regen more often if you idle them around all the time.

Mahindra too, right?

Those have DOC not DPF. My understanding is that DOC doesn't need a regen. Branson has a DPF that does low temp continual regen, and mechanical fuel injection. It works well if you run the tractor hard enough often enough. A few guys who only do loader work at low rpms have had the DPF warning light come on. Then since there's no discrete regen you have to do it yourself by running it up and down the road for a while, or something similar.

I realized my mistake right after hitting "post reply" but once on the internet always on the internet.

The TSC post hole auger is pretty bullet proof in my book. It will run for years without a drop of oil in it. I know because my buddy has one and he's dug a couple fences and a pole barn with it and I've borrowed it a few times over the past 3 years he's owned it. I borrowed it last week and decided to check the oil before I ran it. See attachments.

The TSC 3pt PHD may be wonderful,..... but MANY of their other implements are not!

Now I won稚 try and tell anyone thier stuff is top notch quality but the fact is at the price point it sure is worth buying.
It seems that everyone one I know who has purchased something has had no or very minor problems. Myself having had no issues with 3 attachments purchased and we are talking having those attachments for 15 years.
