May I assume the Soft Ride accumulator is not a dealer add on?

SoftDrive is Field Installed Option for the X Series Loaders and even the DL125/DL135 can add SoftDrive.

If I had to do this over again, based on how the R1's are tearing up my fields, I'd order my tractor
with R4's, or this very interesting new hybrid tire.

I tried looking into getting R4’s and it was all but impossible.. maybe once it’s warmer & dries out better it will be easier on the fields? How long have you your 4707?

It looks like these would be available in sizes that would work for your tractor.
The price might be a tad bit steep then selling your almost new used ones.

There are a lot of different tread patterns out on the market, I know that some of the turf growers have some flotation type rubber on tractors and I have seen turf tires
in 30 and 36 inch sizes. None of them are cheap though.

First time you REALLY wanted to pull something, you would be wishing you had the R1's!!

Thanks for sending that. The dealers all told me basically no (I’d have to buy the original with tractor then buy the additional) & agco/massey said they didn’t offer bc there was little to no market for selling them (R4s).. maybe if I come up with some extra money one day I’ll get them.

Now for the potential ‘dumb’ question. Are the rim sizes similar like cars, you look for x tire based on your size tire and it will fit your rim?

Now for the potential ‘dumb’ question. Are the rim sizes similar like cars, you look for x tire based on your size tire and it will fit your rim?

Pretty much so if you have a 24" rim with and 11" width when you look at tires they go by the rim diameter,
an 11.2-24 is a 11 inch plus tread on a 24 inch rim,
a 18.4-30 is just shy of an 18 1/2" tread on a 30 inch rim
when they go metric it makes it a bit more confusing but not much,
a 480/80R30 is a metric 18.4-30
Many of the ag tire sites will have a comparison chart for inch to metric equals,
and most of the tire manufactures will list loaded radius values and some time rolling circumferences.
They quite often will also have tire pressure to load ratings also.

Some people that have tire preferences that the dealer won't or can't do will buy a tractor and buy tires separately
then sell the factory tires as new or lightly used take offs just like you see adds for truck or car takeoffs.

Agreed.
Simply not my reality though. If I lived in Florida I wouldn't buy snow tires either...
The only downside to me based on my experience with R4's is the stiff sidewall and poor ride.
In my area, no snow and very little mud. Plus I don't commercially farm.
If I went into the woods like you do, no question one wants max grip.
Again, I have other priorities.

Real challenge is getting a decent price for the trade in's.
