I personally like the diverter style 3rd function. Push the button, wiggle the lever to do what you need to do, let go of button and back to normal. Works great on a grapple

mine has a rocker switch

You have the factory setup?

I have no idea where it came from, sorry. I can ask. I think it's all WR Long, same thing they had to do with my Kubota when it was installed instead that time I got two pushbuttons.

WR Long solid bottom grapple, WR Long 3rd function I believe. Why is WR Long's equip different?

Maybe MF thinks not enough flow? Not sure, I found out from someone else at MF it’s only on 5 series with their special transmission..(can’t remember what he called it).

I agree, that works perfectly!

actually they replaced the entire joystick unit because what they installed was dirty and I groused about it. I don't care if it came out of the box coated in crud, clean it up....which I had to do.

The MF appears to be a double button setup vs a rocker. Same functionality to me, used them both, no preferences.

There is only one button. This picture is with the diverter installed.
I guess they make the joystick for the larger models also and add another button but not on the 47xx series. I’m not sure why they don’t on this one, but they don’t. I’m just used to using a rocker vs one button and losing dump/curl. I’m sure I could learn, just prefer the other.

Soft drive is NOT the same as float.

Soft drive diverts oil to a "blatter" to soften the bounce (shock loads) of the loader arms, as the tractor hits holes ect..

It makes having a loader on your tractor, much easier on the tractors front end when you are moving over rough ground.

My tractor has both buttons, soft ride is an option for the 4th button. It also can be used to lock/unlock the "lock" that holds the bucket (or what ever tool you have on your loaders arms) so you don't have to get off your tractor to change tools.
