My "seat time" has been doing more custom rotavating...

I tilled a field for a lady and half of it was quite wet, that means it tills VERY HARD, putting max stress on the tiller and tractors drive line. I had to adjust the drive line clutch a couple times to keep it from slipping, and as the clutch was about used up from years of hard work there wasn't much adjustment left in it.

SO, when I got home, I took it apart and one friction disc was completely missing, so it must of broke up and fell out, no matter I just threw in a new one and as the second disc was still in pretty good shape, I didn't replace it,

Next time I go out, I'll give it it's final adjustment and that should take care of the problem!

I spent 5 hours watching a mini chip rock while occasionally using my backhoe to clear chips. Then we set the tank. I値l have to dig fill lines in a few days. I still haven稚 completed the State course to be a licensed septic system installer. Mini excavators might dig better then backhoes but not when theyæ±*e half the size. That mini would have no chance beating my backhoe at much of anything.

Looks like some hard ground there for a septic system. Is there more to the system like a leach field or mound system or is it just a tank that gets pumped every time it gets filled with water and stuff ??

I agree with the "hard ground" comment Gordon . . . of course a leach field has to come next . . .

You would think but I was curious because he only mentioned digging the sewer pipe lines. Maybe the lack licence is the problem - should have thought of that. But we have places here where leach systems aren't allowed, like near water or on a ledge, and it is just a tank that gets pumped when full of water.

Yes anywhere you have a creek, river any runoff that ends up in the waterways.

That one is a short range pistol range I've just set up.(the bench is not the correct tool for the job, but makes a good table for now.
What do you think of my little plates??
I have another range for 100 yard shooting down in the woods, and a range (1 target and a pair of gongs) out of my back yard at 250 yards.
Pistil range,,,,,, forgot about that option, always need a table for pistil shooting. I moved all my photos from PB to Imgur 2 months ago, their site works better.

It’s getting a leech field but there’s not a huge hurry to finish this project. The rock is between 30 and 48 inches and the leech field only has to be 22” so it shouldn’t cause any problems.

For the first time in several years I put on the old IH 111 5 foot rotary mower which my father gave me when I bought my first tractor. For some reason I thought there was something wrong with it so have been trying to find time for repairs; but after checking it out I remembered that it was a bit too heavy for the old L275, which was also getting tired.
I had forgotten how much fun it is to run and what a nice job it does... even with the extremely dull blades. I still would be out there mowing by the headlights if I had an open field. Some people plow around the stumps, I mow around the fruit trees which I've been planting over the past few years. I'll be back at it first thing tomorrow AM.

14.9/24's for fronts and 16.9/34 for tears. Only had it about 2 weeks now

TractorData.com Farmtrac 795DTC tractor information

that's a very nice looking tractor. Deutz Fahr is highly regarded. Same weight as my 4707 Massey which came with optional larger 34's on rear,
which it looks like yours does also, originally spec'd with 30s on the rear. Those large radials have serious grip, imagine you will be the puller and not the pullee
in mud situations.

I've had a few places where I had to go forward with the bucket almost all the way up, like carrying a large amount of debris and trying to go through a fence gate.
But the higher that bucket goes, with weight in it, the more nervous I get. Putting on seat belts might be a good habit to get into.
With bigger fronts, less likely to drop into a small depression, I really like the big tires. Plus the ride is improved.
I always run with a big finish mower on the back and have filled rear tires, so not worried about getting tippy.
Just always remember you're just a big teeter totter out there, always have more in the rear...

I also own a high quality man lift that I lift someone pretty far up several times a year to trim my treelines, nowhere near electric.
So that is surely driving forward with the bucket raised all the way. Just have to go very, very slowly and watch carefully where driving.
My land is mostly pool table flat, but there are always holes in ground and for sure lots of ditches. Drop a wheel in a ditch when you don't want to
and life gets very exciting in a hurry. With a raised bucket, surely won't end well.

Got our hay in, over the past few days. About 500 bales went in the barn.

Dad's ol Massy 135 chugged right along, only a handful of mis-ties from the MF12 baler. Nice to work on mostly flat ground for a change!

That 135 is a good old tractor.

Footnote: I was going to remove the pics as I saw no need to keep repeating them; but it was already done for me. Perhaps it's one of the upgrades when the site was down yesterday?

We went out to the farm last night and fixed the barn door, but storms moved in before I could get the pathway to the field fixed. So, I went out this morning and it took 12 buckets of dirt to start to get it fixed.

I went out to the spot where we have been getting the dirt and found that the storm had knocked over a tree, something else to add to the list.

At this point, I have the entrance good enough where they should be able to get the planter in. We hoping that they get the beans in this week otherwise it will be getting close to being to late to plant them.

Thanks! It works like a charm and if I didnt do my research on this tractor I may have passed but I have a SAME already so I am familiar with them and I've heard alot of good about Deutz-Fahr so I didnt hesitate a whole lot. I have some clay area where my manure piles are and the bigger tires will be a HUGE help. I cant want to get a grapple for it so I can start cleaning the rest of my piles as well.

Today I finally got a chance to use it to mow hay and it did great! Did about 6 hours of cutting in some heavy stuff. Had to go slower than normal in most spots. I'll post some photos later.

Sorry, didnt take too many photos. Using older equipment I need to pay attention and listen. Fortunately, I have a backup haybine since my nh 479 blew a bushing on the cutter bar when like 10 passes left. Just unhooked and hooked up to my Nh 469 and 25 mins later I was all done :)

Spent Friday evening with my cutter since my wife left for the weekend. There's been so much rain this year the grass and weeds are going nuts. A lot of the grass was over 5 feet tall, some as much as 7. Thistles between 3 and 4. Got probably an acre done with a 4 footer. Neighbors are happy the trail is cleaned up, too. The grass would have you soaked to the waist before. First time I've ever mowed a lot of this. It was a small corn field 20 years ago. The hood was yellow when I got finished from all the pollen. Really rough ground from the darn pocket gophers.
Really needed my diesel therapy. 20190628_194432.jpeg20190628_194438.jpeg20190628_210803.jpeg20190628_210822.jpeg20190628_210827.jpeg20190628_210837.jpeg20190628_210855.jpeg

A lot of work for a 4'er . . . nice!

This was Saturdays seat time but spent about 5 hours cutting the hay. Last year I kept breaking a shear bolt on the haybine, I was concerned enough to buy 4 extra bolts for this year. That must have worked, I never broke the shear bolt at all. Very happy about that.
