Why buy one?

   / Why buy one? #61
When I bought an expensive backhoe for property work, friends and family thought I was nuts. If I'd used that same money for a swimming pool, no one woulda batted an eye....

That's funny right there, and very typical.
Great analogy.

Why buy one? Because I wanted one and could well afford one. No justification needed. I take it places I wouldn't take my pickup and use it when my tractor isn't needed. :confused3:

Probably the biggest/best use of UTVs on large properties: carrying a 2nd person. They can be a family member, guest, worker, etc. And you can talk to them while you drive.

Sometimes, a 2nd person is good to have along just to get to your remote worksite, back-and-forth.

My reasons too^^^^^^:cool2:

One of the local multi millionaires was once asked why he had such a large house built for just him and his wife. His reply because I can.

Pickup, wrangler ,RTV, each has it痴 place ! Love each of them and would replace any one of them in kind tomorrow if one disappeared.

What kind of trailer is that behind the RTV? Looks like a handy one.

I am not an expert, but think it might be a UTILITY Trailer. :confused3:

Looks kind of home made.

It is a 4’x8’ Eric trailer that I traded a leaf vac for. Had to replace the floor and tires and paint it but it is plenty handy. I pull it with the Jeep on road ,makes for an extra pickup.

I'm waiting for them to Bluetooth connectivity, multiple USB ports, rear entertainment systems, heated seats front and rear and of course AC for the Grand Kids Ashma!

I have used my E-Gator at least ten times today, going back and forth to the house from the shop to get supplies for a project and twice to get the mail, yesterdays and todays. The one cat accompanied me, on many of those trips. Loves going for a ride.

My 19' General has bluetooth connectivity and multiple USB ports all built into it's factory navigation. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but in my area trail riding is outstanding it's a lot nicer cruising trails in my sxs than riding up the paved road in my truck or car.

I still have my Gator 825i with Boss plow that it seemed like half the people online said would fall apart if I attempted to plow any more than a dusting with it with it's junky CVT transmission and all...turns out they were talking from their rumps rather than experience.

I have multiple tractors as well but they are not nearly as quick or agile as my sxs's are and you get the advantage of being able to cover thousands of miles of trails with them as a bonus.

Could have been me. How long or better asked, how many hours have you moved snow with it?
