NO Child should operate something like this.

Age 6? If it isn't already criminal (which is probably is), it should be.

I knew you would have one of your normal outstanding responses. How to get 4000 posts in a year, do stupid responses.

A SxS will go places a truck will not. An ATV will go even more places. And a dirtbike even more yet.

I have the dirtbikes, 4x4 truck, and AWD Subaru. Recently added a Honda Recon 250 (actual 230) ATV primarily to maintain the trails I ride the dirtbikes.

He's just lonely from not having a family. And while he seems to do right most times, was not raised with any belief in any higher power than himself.

Is that you, Church Lady?

Im disabled right now. I refer to my ranger as my power wheelchair. I can get into it from my wheelchair easy, and it lets me go outside.

I've got my small tractor, pickup and SxS. I drive my pickup form home to my cabin, where the toys are. I have 130 acres of land to hunt there too. Use the UTV to get around from property to property, not all contiguous, but all within a mile between a couple of the properties, and only my one truck when I get there with the Mrs. So first stop is to pick up the UTV and drive it to the cabin, now for the weekend we each have a vehicle.

Been hand shoveling snow for years until I built the pole barn. Too much to shovel. Put a plow on it to clear driveways. In the winter I remove the tires and add tracks, use it to move fish shacks around on the lake for fishing. Move dirt, bags of whatever, tools, coolers, you name it. Plus buying the Kubota RT-XV1100c, I should never have to buy another one, so I overlooked the cost, to a point, and tried to look at it for the long term. My wife let it slip out to a friend when she referred to it as my "cancer toy". I was diagnosed just over two years ago with prostate cancer, and had it removed. I wondered until that day why it seemed so easy and she encouraged the Kubota. Hey, I ain't complaining, if that's what it took, then that's what it took....

I really miss having my RTV900 that I traded in on the Toolcat. Tough little work vehicle that I used to help me in many chores like cutting trees, fencing, snow plowing, hauling,. It was just easier to use than a truck when you are in tight quarters.

Easier to get out of tight places you might find yourself in also.

You know you can count on him for that...

I thought I had him blocked but alas I was mistaken, :D I still see his stupid posts, usually always a nonsense/ignorant reply to serious TBN users posts. :drink:

I started out with an RTV500 which was a great little machine but after a few heavy cold snow storms I traded up for an RTV1100. Wanted the heavier machine along with the cab and HVAC since my neighbor and I plow all the driveways in our area...Another big plus is being able to take my autistic daughter out for rides in cold weather when the ATV would be too cold for her. A waste of money, maybe but I have no regrets and will probably never sell it.

I do run it and the ATV on the road around here but no one complains--We take care of their driveways after all.

I'm waiting for them to Bluetooth connectivity, multiple USB ports, rear entertainment systems, heated seats front and rear and of course AC for the Grand Kids Ashma!

They are getting close. You can already get the A/C and USB ports. The heated seats and rear entertainment are available aftermarket. (heated seats actually aren't a bad idea - about $65 a set on Amazon). If they keep working at it they can get the 5/8 scale pickups to cost as much as the full size.

Probably the biggest/best use of UTVs on large properties: carrying a 2nd person. They can be a family member, guest, worker, etc. And you can talk to them while you drive.

Sometimes, a 2nd person is good to have along just to get to your remote worksite, back-and-forth.

I also have the kawasaki mule. We probably use that every day. I have 30 acres, and it goes in places i would not take my truck. Ive used it to tow the manure spreader while wife uses tractor to load spreader. We use it for just about anything.

I was in the forest last week cutting firewood and left rounds on ground in piles. Wife came thru and hauled rounds while i was chipping branches. They are super useful.

I bought mine used (4 years old) for less than 1/2 the price of new. Never has had any issues.... not a single oine

That is the biggest benefit I found with my Toolcat last winter. I can be plowing snow while my wife is serving up some hot chocolate and oatmeal cookies!

We have 2 pickups, 2 tractors, and the Kawasaki Mule. The Mule is used to pull the manure spreader and the sprayer for fence lines. I don't have to unhook anything from the tractors and I am not going to sling manure or get caustic chemicals sprayed on the pickups. They are $60,000 crew cab 4X4 grocery getters, the ones without a scratch in the bed that people see in the grocery store parking lot and talk about. No scratches is because we have good bed liners or pull 1 of 5 trailers to haul stuff.

The wife thought the Mule was a waste until we got it. Now she drives it more than me. When I added the windshield, roof with premium sound system/Bluetooth/USB ports, and lightbars she again thought I was wasting money. I remind her of that when I see her driving with the radio and lightbars on at night in the rain spreading manure.

It will all end with a gawdy piece of tin glued to the back that reads "Platinum", I'm sure. So much for Utility.
