I think that I may be making this harder than it needs to be.
Our layout:
At the house we have 24 gig broadband internet. Our wireless we use is an Ubiquity station on the outside of the house. One CAT 5 runs underground to the shop which is 225 feet away.
At the metal pole building shop I have a WIFI router inside.

Our goal for this system is really for piece of mind. This way we can keep an eye on things when we are gone or look out into the pasture if we hear a commotion. A couple of cameras back at the house for security. Our only camera experience was a couple of basic 30$ wifi cameras that we bought for another property originally. We brought them back here and found the one out by the shop gitchy, unsure if it was the distance but probably so.

As we want a camera further out than the shop, I thought that I could invest in a POE system, like the Reolink 5 MP with their NVR or simliar. So, if I do- can I install a couple of cameras with the POE injectors out the back of my shop's WIFI router and still have my in shop WIFI? Or will that make the whole thing clunky? Is there a better way to go here? Thanks in advance.

You are already using Ubiquiti equipment- why not use their cameras?

I just picked up a Wyze cam at Home Depot to play with I am impressed with the 1080p and what it can do even more impressed with the $36 price includes 32gb memory card. Connects to WiFi all you need is a plug in to power the cam.

I didn't know they had cameras. I'll have to check them out. I'm thinking that the distance on the further cameras will be too much for the WIFI. The wife thinks that we have too much WIFI. We don't really have cell service w/o our network extender either. I've heard good things on the Wyze cams too.

im going to edit this

so you have a ubiquiti access point on your roof for the internet??, then that connects to what some form of a wifi router in the house? connected with a cat 5 cable out to the garage to another wifi router out there? is that correct?

I purchased 2 ring spot light cams at HD. I bought wireless and really didn't like them.
Took them back for the wired models, so I can turn them off when I'm here during the day. I Wasn't able to do that with the wireless, and kept getting notifications on my phone all day with myself going back and forth in front of the cameras

Our Ubiquiti is screwed to the wall outside. It is our WIFI for the house and garden area. I can have the laptop in the truck 150 feet away and and catch up on things before I head into the house. Both that and the CAT5 that runs to the shop comes off a switch off the main router from the internet folks in the house. Then I have a WIFI router in the shop. Without it, the signal doesn't penetrate the metal building.

ok

run the camera's wired poe to the wifi router in the shop, that will not causes any degradation to the current wifi setup. you really don't want to do nvr with wireless, unless you have dedicated wireless for it. since you have the ability to do wired. that will be by far the best option.

So I should be able to run 2 cameras from the house NVR and run the other 2 via a POE injector off the back of the router in the shop then? That is what I would hope to do if it worked well.
