I am about 2/3 through the first read of Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future by Ashlee Vance 2015. What the guy has been through and still is changing the world of earth and space vehicles is mind boggling.

not me, I posted a valid reply to the discussion, to me, electric vehicles that MIGHT be worthwhile are way too far in the future!. Electricity is the most expensive, and shortest lasting source of power for ANYTHING. I pay 18 cents per KWH.. it's not worth it..

You sound like I was thinking not that long ago. I saw my first EV this past summer and when I did some reading I realized that I was ignorant on the subject of the current generation of electric cars so I bought one to force me to start erasing my ignorance about today's EV that is here and now technology.

Yes they say it may be 2025 before the EV is cheaper than its ICE cousin.

The fact remains many retired persons have more vehicles than they can ever wear out before they lose the right to drive. The self driving vehicles will help us from losing our driver licenses.

Yes the advances in AI (artificial intelligence) in vehicles and elsewhere boggles my mind. Elon Musk per what I have read in Ashlee Vance's book about him sees to have grave concerns where AI may take us over time. I have not read it yet but I picked up a copy of Superintelligence by Bostrom that Elon Musk supports this professor's views and concerns of AI.
