Do you believe that everyone is going to go out there and purchase a more expensive vehicle with less range and a longer recharge/refill time than an ICE ?
The EV is a niche market that requires subsidies and legislation to force sales of the vehicles . EV sales to Toy collectors and environmental zealots is not enough market share to be worthwhile or sustainable. .

These cars may make sense for a city dweller, but out here in the country ill stick to my 4x4 road hog. im miles and miles off the beaten path. Can travel many miles every day and dont want to limit myself to the range of electric vehicles. Good luck getting that over some of the roads i traverse, i even use 4x4 mode on some roads in the summer to traverse.

If reducing weight was not a vital method of improving fuel efficiency . Vehicle manufactures would not be making body panels and engines out of aluminum.
Have you considered the energy storage room or volume required by all those extra battery packs ? Only 250-700 watt hours per cubic litre .
I am keeping in mind how important the religion of green is to you and how important looking and sounding holy is to you . Thus the attempt to use facts and figures rather than feelings and emotions .

It seems China is leading in the move to EV's but they do have $10K versions I have read. Perhaps Tesla built a factory there for a good reason. I read Telsa is cutting the price of the China built Model 3 already. The speed they built the new Tesla car factory is mind boggling.

China as been keen on Buick's for many years it seems and I never knew that fact. Some say we are second to China already. If we can get more affordable EV's they may be coming from China.

I find it funny that some just don't get it and think that what they drive in the possibly quite near future, won't be a technology of their choosing.
