Yanmar YM2610 ■YANMAR GURU■ EXTRAORDINAIRE
Well, I thought when buying the YM2610, the KOYKER 140 LOADER priced at $3,500 was alright to snag later. Well, I've been getting quotes in and it seems to be more than our budget can manage.

So, what else is out there than what I've seen below?

- Rear FEL on 3pt - Westendorf Auto-Dump $2,200 :dance1:

- Rear Dirt Scoop - King Cutter DS-30 $600

- Used FEL and retrofit to the Yanmar. (not always a good thing) :(

wow ! the koyker loaders have gone up $4595.00 for a 140
believe I paid $3200 when I bought my 160 which is now $4795.00

These are Fredricks' prices

That sounds about right. As I recall my Koyker 120 was $3000 or $3500 fifteen years ago. You could price a woods loader for price comparison.

Westendorf Auto-Dump for $2,200 and King Cutter DS-30 for $600? Wow! That's crazy expensive for what it is.

We have these 3 pt loaders over here, that do have some decent lift height and weight. They have a telescopic arm that you can the length by simply pulling a pin.

Max lift/height: Position 1 - 1800 lbs @ 100"
Position 2 - 1600 lbs @ 112"
Position 3 - 1488 lbs @ 124"

You can also get buckets, spikes for manure or bales, grapple, forks and a hook to use it as a crane. Since it's a single arm design vs the two arm on a front loader, the attachments are usually narrower (40" wide) than what you are used to.

The price here, goes from 900€ (1000$) to 1100€ (1220$). The cheaper one won't come with its own valve, so you would need 2 sets of remotes, one for lift and another for curl. The expensive one comes with a 2 element valve.

If you buy a loader, you wont need the rear dirt scoop.

I believe he knows/realizes that, he is investigating less costly options than $4800 loader and listed what he is aware of and the prices.

I have used a dirt scoop. They can be quite useful. They can also be used as a small carryall. The frame limits that function somewhat but it is workable.
With that praise for them, an FEL it is not and never will be. Dumping onto or unloading from a trailer justifies the expense when you only do it once.
You may ask how, simple really, NO BACK ACHE!

Guys, lots of interesting options.

I could comment on each post with good feedback.

And Winston, that link is note worthy too.

Coy, you basically the general use would be more as a carry-all with dump capability when needed.

Got lots of firewood to move at times. A rear FEL or dirt scoop would do nicely. And when moving all of those square bales.

My only downside with a FEL is swapping on and off the tractor frequently. With a FEL on the homestead, the tractor would not be maneuverable around barns, sheds and paths. Out in the fields, yes. Back in TN, no issues. Up here, a different story.

Yes, Kenmac, Koyker loaders have gone up $4595.00. Then add the shipping! Even if I drove west for factory pickup, I'm not saving anything either.

The DW is hooked on the KK Dirt Scoop for $600. I told here being cheap only gets you cheap stuff. :duh: It was an arm wrestle with her getting the YM2610 vs. a local beat up Ford 3000 for $2,000 that smoked a bunch. :pullinghair:

Keep the suggestions coming. I look truly over each one.

PTSG, that is an amazing price for a rear FEL setup. My biggest issue is, dealers with them around here with high markups. Wish I was down south again and not up in BIG Ag country where high prices are the norm.

TSC or Fleet Farm are all I have basically. King Kutter is the common brand. The implements work alright, but their products don't have primer or good paint and tend to start rusting in months. Valspar makes a good farm paint to fix that. :p

Thanks for the tip on paint.

I built rear forks out of bedframe angle iron plus some scrap. Matching it to the q-hitch meant I didn't have to buy 3-point pins. Then I added a platform, and later reinforced the platform using another bedframe. I use this all the time for hauling stuff around. Hitching it on takes only an instant, just back into it and lift.

If you have a welder, fabricating something like this might meet some of your needs immediately at near zero cost.

Nope, no welder here. :(

I'm good at carriage bolts and brackets.

Still need something to do a little dirt moving for gardening. Also, moving wood chips too.

For a carry-all platform, I get those IBC totes with the aluminum base and the black plastic inside platform. The cage works good too. Some are free and others from $25 to $75.

I do love your photos. Your orchard work is a blessing to look at.

Some time ago, when the Yahoo Tractor Owners Club was around, the owner Jay Brown offered this as a rear 3PT FEL all for $700. Wish I was around for that back then. What a bargain!

Here is an IBC tote carry-all. Just need forks to pick up with the FEL or off the 3PT rear.

I have a front end loader made by coldwater in hoquiam here in Washington State. They dont have a webpage and have to be called. It was about 2 years ago but this was the number: 360-533-2160. I'm happy with mine, very simple and solid with easy to replace off the shelf hydraulic cylinders if anything ever needs replacing. I'm pretty sure they will ship and I think mine was 2k installed. They do the install no extra cost. Btw, I have 2610d as well.

PTSG, Hey, I did find this on YT. It will dig, drag and can change over to forks too. Tylny ładowacz 4 - YouTube

Now, what product is this? Price should be close to the KK dirt scoop. It loosely translates to a Kippbox.

Looks like a homemade 3 pt loader. Almost like what I've shown, but a lot simpler and lights which is good for smaller tractors.

To Portuguese, it translates as Rear loader.

Since the video is in Eastern Europe, I'm pretty sure it's homemade. They make all kinds of stuff like this. Lots of different variations also.

It also looks like a very simple and easy design to make at home, if you happen to have the tools though.

EDIT: Tried to get on their website to see if they have a price for those but the site won't even load for me.

That 3 pt bucket rig looks neat. If you build it yourself, work on the design and put in a couple of hydraulic cylinders and you could get some more lift than just the 3 pt lift and have the curl and dump features also.
It is still not going to do all for you that a FEL would, but probably not cost as much either.

I did a search for the Kippbox. In the EU, it ranges from a mere 399.00 Euros to 599 Euros. The cheaper with just the lever and rope for dump, the more expensive with the hydraulics. Thus, it's in tune with Jay's offering years ago with the DG Equipment type. hmmmm.

Here is the TM100HS. A mere 399.oo Euros with the hydraulics! Kippmulde TM100HS Hecklader Heckschaufel Kippbox Transportmulde hydraulisch - Motorgeräte Fritzsch GmbH

I would buy this immediately today if it was available right now in the USA! And their shipping is CHEAP for 65.oo Euros too!

Very good prices, specially compared to US. The 65€ shipping is just for inside Germany.

You may try to send them an email asking for shipping prices for the US.

Here in Portugal those are not very common. What we use a lot is those 3 Pt loaders I showed before and probably the most sold implement here, a Carry all box.

This carry all box comes with lots features, let's see if I remember everything:

- It can dump by pushing a simple lever to unlatch the hook.
- It has a cutting edge on the rear so you can load and scrape materials
- Removable tailgate that can also flip down to extend the length or just flip up and out of the way to dump stuff.
- These things are build to take a beating. Usually lasts a lifetime if not stored under the weather to rust away.

One of these about 1.25 m (4ft) wide costs new about 300€ (340$). I bought mine used for 100€ with the corners completely rotten but I've replace those with a thicker gauge sheet metal and it's now waiting patiently for a fresh coat of paint.

If you search "3 point tipping box", you'll see some similar stuff but not quite like mine.

Considering the prices in the US, if you can locate a good EU price, it might be worth to get it shipped to you.

I'm very surprised that these attachments are not being sold in the US yet, specially since the Chinese usually copy everything, make a cheap version and sell everywhere.

Found this in the USA, but no reviews. This is without any hydraulics. hmmm

Pat'''s Easy Mover - LivestockShed.com

In the UK these are called tipping boxes. Fleming Ag of the UK use to have a USA presence and sold a similar type, but better gauge thickness of steel.

update: Think I found the Pat product webpage to save over $100. ... Pats Easy Change 3 Point Hitch System

This can be a dirt scoop or as a carry all box. dual purpose. Then with the box off, it can be used for at least 3 other types of uses. 1 being a hay bale fork unit. It has many uses. I really like multi-use implements.

Still poking around. Folks on TBN back in 2013 were looking around too!
