So today I was perusing online listings for SSQA buckets. Saw one that looked interesting, a nice 72” with bolt on edge in good shape from a Case skid steer.
Turns out it was less than a mile from me, I was able to snag it for less than $500. I just drove the 6060 over without a bucket and came home with one.
For some reason, I now have less buyers remorse about the 4in1.

I expect that you will find that a 72" bucket designed for use with a skid steer will weigh as much or more than your 4-in-1 bucket.

I brought it into the shop to weld Some hooks on it, so I put the scale on the hoist. The 4in1 is claimed to be 620 lbs in the spec sheet so my “new” bucket is at least 30% lighter. And that’s with a bolt on edge. IMG_3672.jpg

Seems to be in good shape would say you got a good deal. Skid steer buckets tend to be heavier built. Some spray paint maybe if you get board on a rainy day and you’ll be in business for a long long time. Otherwise sometimes having old buckets is nice so you don’t feel obligated to keep it inside like a shiny new one

Thanks for the comments on grapple issue on hooking. Think you hit my issue indirectly, I was leaving it totally open and it's face and hooking up to it with fel first and in doing so was moving the lid or clamping part of the grapple thus changing the pressure side of the cylinder. So either I need to as you suggest and connect the hoses to each other or connect the hoses before I move the grapple with the fel.

Update on Everything Attachements grapple...found something I knew was a weak area to it's design and new to take care of it up front and in the exactment forgot all about it till a went to take pictures...some have guessed it...piece of wood had gone though the back of the grapple and yes tore the metal screen behind the grill. Was blessed that was all the damage. Well the screen and my pride. Well be ordering a replacement and on the Kubota seat, not pleased with it. It is a tight as it will go and it still bottoms out. Okay I weigh more than I should but 240 is not near as heavy as some "tall" men are.

The Kubota 4-in-1 bucket that I bought with my L6060 is considerably heavier than a regular bucket but no where near 620 Lbs. Indeed, the entire 1055 FEL (sans bucket) weighs 640 Lbs. The 72" light material bucket weighs 136 Lbs., and the 72" HD bucket weighs 180 Lbs.

No specs in the operating and installation manual for my Kubota 4-in-1 bucket but I'm guessing that it weighs around 300 Lbs.

I’ve got an L2245 4in1 bucket. Here’s where I got the 620 lb number from.

That's the same one that I have but there is no weight spec in my operating/installation manual.

Doesn't look nearly that heavy but that explains why my 6060 will not back up a slight incline with an empty bucket unless in FWA.

Havent noticed that particularly with my L4060 & it will lift near capacity (medium loader unlike the bigh loader you can spec on the bigger Grands) with little to no 3pt ballast.

On my old L3200 I was moving a maybe 150lbs gate on the pallet forks. No 3pt ballast because it was just a light gate. Go down the gentile slope & cant stop. HST diest stop me, brakes dont stop me. Finally the barn stops me. Luckily only a pair of fork holes in the already beat up tin. If you have anything on the loader you need 3pt ballast and/or to be in FWA so you get braking on the front tires. It's not just a Grand thing, although they are heavier & a little less effected by the issues.
