Why TBN isn't as enjoyable anymore

In real life, I am VERY political. But when I go on TBN, I don't want to read anything about politics. And I don't want to know about anyone's politics on TBN. I've been a member for almost 20 years, and I've made a lot of friends on TBN, some that I socialize with in person fairly often. I don't want to do anything to destroy the friendships that I've made and I don't want to get into anything controversial that might start an argument. I just want to discuss tractors, country life and similar things. TBN is a great forum, and I hope it stays that way. Muhammad does a great job running this forum, and we all should appreciate TBN.

It's sort of like mingling at a party etc...if you don't care for the conversation of the folks you're mingling with you just move to another group...it doesn't ruin the whole party...

IMO (this is an opinion now for those that seem to be incapable of discerning)The real issue lies in the fact that it is for all practical purposes impossible for a majority of discussions regardless of the topic to have some tangible relation to taboo subject matter... personally I would support an absolute ZERO TOLERANCE policy...as long as there was a defined criteria... forget the warnings etc...you break the law you go to jail...

It's a direct connection; time after time there is a thread which a lot of people respond to and are interested in. Then you and a few others come along and start your same old stale posts, knowing fully well that you will get the thread shut down. Some of us ask you to take it elsewhere, but instead you simply call us whiners, and keep on posting the same old crap which keeps getting threads shut down.

So please explain how that isn't germane to a discussion about people breaking site rules and getting threads shut down?

Since you cited the defunct COVID 19 threads...I dare you to go back and show proof that what caused those threads to be closed was any type of rhetorical, systematic manner which is what you are saying...I dare you...!

What you will find is that in a majority of the cases the actual content of the offending posts were more relative to the subject than the average comments made by rubberneckers...!

FYI in one of the very first COVID threads I personally cited the fact that the subject was 99.44% political...people should have known what to expect...you can't expect everyone to just play dumb and ignore the facts of the matter and act like they don't exist so the snowflakes can feel warm and fuzzy like curling up in front of the fire with a good book...!!!

Again, I dare you to post proof of your claim that "the same old crap" closed down all those COVID threads...

Personally, except for possibly one member...I don't think anyone would intentionally post something that would get a thread closed...sure I've made some posts that qualified for being removed...but with the total lack of consistency in moderating it was impossible to guess...but again, I and I doubt most of the other "accused" would make a post intentionally to close a thread...

OK... What is so difficult in not posting something??? You want to throw the onus on us NOT to read what you post... So, why not save us the bother and YOU take your own medicine and NOT post your lunatic ramblings. Sounds reasonable to me...

I can say that I've been guilty of responding when I should just ignore some posts, and succeed most of the time but struggle some days.

I know it happens all the time but I wish that threads would get pruned instead of closing good threads and suspend or ban constant abusers.
