I leveled and seeded that area where I tore out all the brush and buckthorns. I'm getting pretty good with the ratchet rake, it really is great for leveling and prepping for seed, just a bit of a learning curve to use it effectively.

County line Brand from TSC. They have a sale right now to get the PHD for $529. I went through the reviews and people with JD 1025R's, Kubota BX's and, even a guy with a GC1705 had much praise for the unit so I figured I'd give it a whirl. I'd have loved a EA Subcompact post hole digger but for the little work I'll be doing I just couldn't justify the extra money. I believe they are rebranded Tarter units.

Like to know how it works out for you.

Drug a old log splitter off my trailer with my GC 1715... Bought a sad 20 ton log splitter that seems to be pretty much intact other then two dead tires and little B&S motor missing carburetor/fuel tank/air cleaner... Yes it's a project...

I run one on my 1723e, works well.
Do you have any interference issues with the toplink? That's the only thing I've ever been super worried about

It “bottoms out” when raised all the way. I try not to raise it all the way up fast, so as not to stress the toplink bracket.

I buried the auger for the first time a few weeks ago, PIA. Normally I don’t let it go more then 3” or so before picking it up to clean it out

My new neighbors moved in a few weeks ago and I told them I’d clear their back yard for them. He was surprised what I could do with the 1723eb . Now the wife is on me to clear mine up IMG_5316.JPGIMG_5314.JPGIMG_5315.JPG

And my backyard

Received my post hole digger today. It seems pretty well built but there some immediate concerns for my GC and likely for any sub compact. The top link attach point is waaaay too tall and looks mildly different from the pictures I was able to see online before purchasing. This is more a warning to anyone else that would consider this as an option. I'll get it all tuned up with my plasma cutter and welder for my purposes. Couldn't beat the price as they were on sale so all's well.IMG_20200720_185109.jpgIMG_20200720_200157.jpgIMG_20200720_200748.jpgIMG_20200720_191003.jpg

The county line I bought two years back worked very well. Its a little different from yours, mine doesnt have the handle assist and stand but it woks very well on my GC2410. I just need to buy the 12 inch auger next-the 6 inch woks well but sometimes not wide enough.

I did not have the top link issue you have.

Nice, what diameter auger did you choose.

Didn't pick one up yet. There was a sale at to get the PHD for 529.99 so I jumped at it. Augers are readily available here at a variety of farm stores when I need them. Future plans are pole barn that I'll build and adding a mix of privacy and chain link fence on my property.

Even viewed sideways, them GC's sure are cool-looking tractors. :D I dunno about you guys, but I just think they look so much better than kubotas.

They certainly do. Especially when clean, that red is beautiful.

Your welcome, here are the AGCO pricing, and they also have E Books just a little less $ for those that like that (I'm old and old school - paper books):
