I'm confused on the garage. Is this something that you started right after you finished the house? or is this after living there awhile?

What was the original plan for a garage before you started building the house?

If you look at each of his posts, the date is what he starts with. Garage is being added 5 years after the house build.

Every post has the actual date at the top of the post. House finished oct of 1997, garage started 2002 on dates given.

House was planned for the garage to be added. That was discussed in the house build.
The house basement was stubbed out to tie into the future garage. Same foundation contractor was used. The upstairs hall was built to continue to the garage rooms. The window at the end of that hall was framed inside a doorway framed opening, so I could easily open it up.

I don’t have detailed notes on the garage build, because it was built as I had time and money. No bank loan, no bank deadline.
I did sell some mountain top land in WV to help finance the garage build. I was going to build a cabin there, and it ended up being too far away and I didn’t go there enough. I had a driveway and septic put in there, and dug for footers, then sold it.
