You need to post an explicit content warning - tractor ****.

Nice video thanks, but aren't you getting a sore neck?

If it was me I would turn the blower around 180 degrees and convert it to forward drive model.
Just saying.

Yes it would be fair bit of work.

I see your point fortunately my neck is doing fine... but. At any rate for the snow and ice conditions that we get here I really would not want to be without either the blower or the bucket. As I type and look out the window I see a mound of hard ice/snow that was plowed up by the city machine. It would be too risky going at that with the blower.

I meant rear PTO driven forward driven snow blower.

I know the blower type you mean. Trouble is I would have a hard time getting out of the garage with that kind of blower due to the high snow levels that sometimes occur.

Oh, I see what you mean!

This is why I like having both a FEL and a rear blower.

While a front mount blower is easier on the neck, having the ability to have both is just how I like it.

You should consider getting a 4' snow box to chain to the loader.

Edited: Tip: Close the garage door before snow blowing... keeps the work benches from getting snow all over them. :D

A lot of disadvantages of a front mount blower. I'd only want one if I had a very long road to clear where going one direction for a long distance was clearly needed. If he had a front blower that means he'd have to pull off the FEL which is a nuisance and subtracts the ability to use the FEL for snow. Big advantage if you can do work both directions , fwd and backward, without deadheading in one direction. If one had the real need for a front mount blower, then he could put a blade on the back I suppose to retain bi-directional working ability, but that's a lot to go through. I say he's better off as-is than going to the troubles and expense of a front blower.

That's all good but I meant turning it around 180 degrees and converting it to a 3-point rear pull snowblower similar to this, in order to save neck strain.
And I acknowledged it would be a fair bit of work.

Spoke recently with a friend of mine up north who has a looong driveway and has done it.
By up north, I mean about 60 miles south of the Arctic Circle!

I understand what you meant now. That is an interesting configuration for sure. For what I can see up to now this does not fit tractorgp's circumstance. He's clearing a driveway and some adjacent parking, not a long path. The pictured blower would preclude working snow in both directions. He's better off as-is I think.

:) re garage door. In general, being retired, I am usually in no rush to get the snow cleared out so probably won't bother with a snow box. I agree, no way would I be without both the FEL and the blower. Only way to go for the snow we get here. Speaking of that we had a fairly major dump yesterday so will get at that over the next day or so.
