Then STAY AWAY!I truly hate Cali traffic!
I have probably already made my last trip out there! Then STAY AWAY!
They may have to haul wrong with their Tesla pulling the generator. JonIt's sad but my sister lives in San Francisco (bro-in-law got in early with google), and I have enjoyed multiple visits there in the past. And my two kids would surely love to go visit their cousins and stay with them for a vacation, but I really am reluctant to even consider taking my children to the city of San Fran at this point. Just no telling what we will see on the streets, or how likely it is that my rental car gets its windows smashed out for a grab and dash. We might fly to reno and meet them in Lake Tahoe next winter though. That is, if their Tesla can make it up the mountain to Donner. They might have to recharge for an hour or two along the way.
Anyway back to hauling wrong.
I was reading about the racing scene up in Mulholland Drive back in the day. It sounded like some pretty wild times. Supposedly Paul Newman would show up occasionally, as well as a few other well known names.Axton sounds enthusiasticbut I think the Beach Boys and that Sequoias girl caught the vibe better.
Anybody remember American Graffiti? That movie captured, mirrored, the California I grew up in. Beach Boys, Wolfman Jack, car culture.
We used to drag race on unopened new freeways. Now those same stretches are elbow to elbow traffic on even more lanes, seemingly 24/7.
I see that all the time around here but he's missing 2 wheelbarrows on top with the ladders...
When I needed to rent a U---- trailer for a couple trips from Illinois to Iowa, it was cheaper & easier to just rent it as "local", make a few 300 mile trips, and bring it back to Illinois. U---- doesn't like the expense of having to move all their stuff around. One Way - "from" those states like Illinois or Cali, probably a big problem for them... I hadn't moved here yet.View attachment 848135
everywhere.
It looks like he’s getting UP in the world
or Chicago, or New York or even Seattle, for goodness sake! Non-stop, no more "rush hour" there. More like 6am to 9pm.I truly hate Cali traffic!
Never been to Seattle and now that it’s the remake of San Francisco. I don’t think I’ll ever go there in my future.!or Chicago, or New York or even Seattle, for goodness sake! Non-stop, no more "rush hour" there. More like 6am to 9pm.
Long ago I got a stern lecture from the local U-Haul manager that local rentals are NOT to be taken out of the area. And there's a major surcharge if it is seen far away. I don't know if this is still their policy. When I needed to rent a U---- trailer for a couple trips from Illinois to Iowa, it was cheaper & easier to just rent it as "local", make a few 300 mile trips, and bring it back to Illinois.
