Thank the Lord Mississippi still has lots of openings!
linkyMississippi is the cheapest state in the nation for a family of two adults raising two children, with a household income of $177,798 required to live comfortably.Apr 17, 2024
You need a $178,000 to live comfortably in MS? Seriously? There’s a lot of families of 4 that could live "comfortably" in a lot of states besides MS for $178k. But I would likely agree MS would be close to the cheapest state to live in. You get what you pay for!

Could be that sucking sound Perdue was talking about in the 90s.Mexico is becoming an industrial powerhouse due to U.S. investments. I visited Chihuahua City in 2019. It’s full of new manufacturing facilities for companies like Ford, Polaris, GE, Carrier, etc… And the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad has a direct line to the port of entry at Santa Theresa, NM. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mexico becomes a larger trade partner for the U.S. than China in 20 years. Not that I think losing U.S. industry is good, but this is what’s happening.

My father's 1994 JD6400 I believe was built in Germany.bought a big JD around 2005/2006 for work, I forget the model, but we pulled a 12-15" batwing with it. Even back then, it was made in Mexico, or at least a crapton of the parts were.
whatever model this is, I was very surprised Mexico was all over that thing.

With a profit of $10.166 Billion last year, I would say they are competing just fine.Hate seeing this but labor being what it is I can't blame JD; like everyone else they have to compete.
I provided links to the two annual reports. I don't know if number of tractors and/or other pieces of machinery is there, though. Certainly dollar value of sales will be.What were their production numbers in 2002 vs 2023?
Ding, ding, ding. The Unions sure showed John Deere who was boss.
$10Billion profit last year. Just because you are a CEO doesn't mean you are entitled to Elon Musk pay.Ding, ding, ding.
Know your value, and quit striking every 3-4 years. They can't afford to pay every line worker a tool makers salary, or every tool maker a department supervisors salary, etc.
It's hard for your traditional U.S companies to move down south, as I think the unions are able to prevent this. That's why your incoming foreign businesses build in right to work states. I don't know how Boeing managed to build in SC.
