I did something very similar, but home-made, with 2" perf square tube inside 2-1/4" perf square tube, and a welded foot plate on the bottom. Use a pin to set the height.

I don't have any close-up photos without going out to the trailer right now, but you can see one on the rear of the trailer in this photo, if you zoom in a bit.

Why I by trailers with Max / Mega Ramps..

I always worried that the uneven ground I usually find myself on would cause them to not "line up", so I never considered those type of ramps.

Pretty flat around here so not a worry, but just a couple weeks ago I had to pick up my kids 328i when the fuel pump died and he had pulled over so far that one ramp was pass the shoulder and was raised off the ground. I laid a 6' aluminum ramp on top to extend and it worked out just fine once the weight of the car was on it. Main problem was the steeper angle of the ramps that weren't made for a car with a 4" clearance

My little do-little trailer could use rear supports. Sometimes I'd like to load or unload our 6x6 without being attached to a tow vehical. The supports you guys show would allow that.

I put these Pro Series Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack w/ Footplate on the back of my flatbed trailer. I've towed some skidsteers, and my NH TC40 with loaded rear tires. Makes it much more stable when loading; I have had my truck move before while loading... These are easy to install, easy to use, and easy to stow when not in use.

Just be careful, and block the wheels on both sides of the tires and on both sides of the trailer! It is very easy for the trailer to start to move when you shake it a little by driving up on it!
IF...you do, make sure to drop the rear supports, and then put a few more turns on the tongue jack, to tighten up everything!

I drive our 6x6 on it now without the truck attached. Should I quit? (attached here)

Nice machine!
I know loading a 4x4 is a lot safer than loading a 2 wd unit, but I have no idea on tracks! Only tracks I have ever loaded were steel on steel and those required care and a soft touch to the controls!
When your trailer is un-hooked, what keeps it from rolling (besides being frozen to the ground!)
A trailer that gets loose without a tow vehicle to stop it can be dangerous!

Re post 20 with the pickup running away, why did he not move forward to shift weight onto the pickup brakes??? Alternative, back off the trailer. I have had a truck(class 7) move under me when loading a tractor on a loading bank and I just hit reverse. Interesting moment, but no damage.

I would never drive a vehicle up on a trailer that's not connected to a tow vehicle. Just too much chance of going for a ride, if anything goes wrong.

With the rear kick stands down, and the tongue jacked up hard against them, I will drive the front axle of my CUT up on the trailer to retrieve logs with the loader. But the rear axle of the tractor always stays on the ground if the trailer is not connected to a vehicle.

Probably shock and trying to figure out what was going on. He could have kept going forward or backed up. Anything but what he did would have been better.

Not an issue with a hydraulic dove tail...if the tail is lowered to the ground like it's supposed to be when loading or unloading.

Yikes yeah I just watched that vid for first time. Dude made exactly the wrong decision, forward or backwards would have been fine. What could he even have done if he magically made it into the truck? Nada.

When I drive our 6x6 onto a unattached trailer, the ground is flat, wheels chocked and the rear of the atv wheels are still on the ground when the hitch goes up, then you inch forward to let it back down. Rear tracks or wheels are still on the ground as it settles back down. I Rarely DO THIS since its not much fun to do. Point is you can.
