I have a dump trailer and it is very handy but for any large amount of material it is more economical to pay a full sized dump truck.(not even counting the time wasted). So unless the 140yards you need is very very close by to pick up I don’t think your looking at it the correct way.

    bent bucket repair

If I wasn’t sure if I caused the damage I would ask the owner if I did or not. Then go from there. Not come on a forum to ask about doing a crappy repair on it.

I know not to loan you anything.

    bent bucket repair

It’s the right thing to do. A person that doesn’t look a tractor over and notice THAT before using it is the type of person to bend the crap out of a bucket and say it must have been like that when I got it. Next time rent the machinery you need with insurance.

Just Bought a Tandem Axle Trailer

It’s something trailer manufacturers advertise. I know a few people in my industry that have gotten tickets. None have been weighed. All have been trailer+ truck tags weights add up to cdl #s.(+26klbs) None actually had that much weight. Modern dually + 12k trailer that’s empty means ticket...

    SNAP ON TOOLS

I got a lot of tools from yard sales for almost free compared to new. The only things I got from snap on were a modus scaner/occiliscope, random specialty tools and a tool box. The tool box was the worst purchase but they were not as many options for other good boxes as there are now. It sure...

You crazy dude. A modern 2500, 250 can conventional pull 16k plus, gooseneck # for them are way more. The old trucks look good but ain’t worth a crap as a working man’s truck.

Help Me Name a Custom Lumber Company

I don’t the business name matters. I tried various things for my business but found all my work came from word of mouth or me taking to people in person. Then one day you have more than you can do and advertising is worthless unless you want to hire more people.

Yes. As someone who has ridden trails for a long time and made some miles of them on my own. You know you’re riding and older trail if it has water bars. The new trails are designed with smooth rolling dips, the trail holds up better and I think it’s more enjoyable also. Unfortunately with...

Not everyone can own or handle ford rs. You’re one of the rare few @5030 thankfully you rarely talk about owning one.
  168. F

Who still drives a stick in 2025?

The crazy thing is now with many/most models the automatic is faster and gets better mpgs than the manual version.
  169. F

Compact Track Loader, whos the best?

Re billing. Remember machines are wearing out as you use them. Need to charge enough to cover expenses pay yourself well and save up for machine repairs or replacement. I’ve said it here before the best thing I did as a dirt working business was going from homeowner work to underground utilities.

    Traded up before tariffs hit

    Tractors and (upcoming) tariffs?

What I think is funny is the older people who got everything they could while working for .gov and retired. It seems like they don’t want the younger gen to get what they did and have a burn it all down it wont affect me attitude.

Do you merge sooner, or later?

When going from 2 lanes to one at capacity the obvious solution is to double the speed not to lower the speed. One day with all auto driving cars this will be the norm. Cruising at 70mph, construction ahead so let’s merge at 140. An easy time saver with O downside;)
