Sawmills, sawmill buildings, drying sheds, and kilns... show your pictures!

I bought a Woodmizer LT 40 Wide with a Yanmar 35 hp diesel 4 years ago. Once I get her under the future shed, she will get the 6'8" extension installed to cut up to 27 feet. For the smaller sized logs I use my Mahindra with the grapple. For huge logs, I have a Lull 644D-34 Two weeks ago, I...

    Loader as excavator???

I dug two ponds with the loader bucket with no tooth bar. Angle the bucket right and the right size tractor will doze right thru clay. This bucket is 7 foot wide. hugs, Brandi
  121. bindian

My Place: a CAT, Mahindra, and Ducks

It is way better than I ever thought. With the right angle of the bucket, clay rolls off the blade like a dozer's blade. I only catch and cut the roots with the center of the blade reinforced by the bucket's teeth. hugs, Brandi

Two weekends ago, I started leveling the hill for the shed. This is the view from my back deck.... The CAT grader blade works AWESOME. I do more leveling with it than the tractor's bucket. It will be 40x60 feet on concrete and 40x80 feet under roof. Just doing this on the weekends...

    Bought a new SANY SY50U !

I love the CAT E70. Had her for 6.5 years and nothing major except bucket bushings and H link bushing rebuild. I added a hydraulic thumb with electric over hydraulic diverter valve and build a 8 foot grader blade. She is no beauty or throughbred. Year model is 2000. Hobbs meter says 5805...

    Bought a new SANY SY50U !

I have a 36hp Yanmar diesel on my sawmill. It is a tough engine, but does not like anything in the fuel, as it is Tier IV. The excavator class between mini and full size is midi. I have a 7.5 ton CAT E70. But she has a 56 hp Mitsubishi engine, as Mitsubishi built her as a MS070. hugs, Brandi

I finished hanging the rabbit cage last month. The ugly, dirty white tin is a urine shield, so the barn tin won't rust from the urine.I also found a young Californian breeding buck. Well, he is trying to bred anyway. I named him Bucky. He is a little over 6 months old. I got a Californian...

    Bypass Hose

As it was scheduled 80 and 70 percent rain today and tomorrow, and it was 46 outside Friday, I moved the tractor inside. Right before the waterpump oring arrived, I hooked up the battery, capped off the oil line to the waterpump, and backed her into the barn. I was worried about the forks...

    Bypass Hose

I realize now the oil supply line to the waterpump makes the waterpump bullet proof, with the bearing bathed in oil. Don't you wish cars and trucks had an oil supply to your waterpump bearing. I change my Cummins waterpump about every 100,000 miles. Sometimes because it is leaking out the...

After 14 years of owning my 6520, I found a design feature I do not like. I had leaking radiator hoses. While snooping around for the leaks, I found a 2.5" long hose going from the water pump to the thermostat housing. It's about 1.25" in diameter. It was leaking also. So today, I removed...

    Chain Harrow???
