When I emigrated to Australia from NZ in 1976 I flew to Norfolk Island in a Fokker Friendship and after a couple of weeks there, flew to Brisbane in a King Air. It was a long but enjoyable flight. Toilet was behind a pull-back curtain in the back of the cabin. No-one was game to use it. :)

We've been lucky with covid here. Only new cases are travellers from overseas that bring it with them. They have to go into quarrantine for 2 weeks on arrival and that's where it shows up. They act quick with lockdowns and tracing if there is a case. Life is pretty much normal here.

Out west they have a problem with hot water from the artesian wells. Most places turn off there hot water systems and use that for cold while the hot water comes out their cold tap.

Koalas have trouble surviving over 40 deg C. Today was 40 C and this little bloke was struggling. He climbed down and went to sleep in the shade. We provide water for them. The Cockies also come in for water at present. These two come every morning and evening. They are pretty quiet.

We have had several Koalas staying in trees right beside our house lately. They are very quiet. Beats me how they sit in the trees like that without falling out when they are asleep. Also a wild scrub turkey follows me around when I go outside. Must be short on food in the bush.

Hoping to do something similar to this in the near future. Concrete cost is the killer but you have to have it. I want a vehicle lift in the center section.

As I have posted before, I have 3 lovely little dogs BUT, lately this little bloke has been living in trees beside our house. He as been here for a few weeks now. He doesn't seem to worry about our dogs running around.
