All we can do is keep trying to get the message out that the radiator needs air flow....THROUGH the core.....to rid the coolant of heat. Thanks for posting your experience. (y)

So, the clutch is not slipping because the engine rpm drops after 10-15 min. It is not a fuel tank vent problem. No warning lights come on. Fuel filter was changed. If it were my tractor, I would check the air filter and blow out the radiator from the back side....just because. Then I would...
My dad had a neighbor with a very steep area to mow. He invited dealers to come and demo products and at least one crashed. He ended up with a commercial Cub Cadet ZTR that had a steering wheel that also controls the front wheels. He loved it!
A young noob engineer asked me back in 2007 what I would recommend them to specialize in. I told them to study desalination because good clean drinking water was going to become rare in the future. Little did I know.....
Check to see if the fuel tank is venting...either through the cap or a vent line. A mud dauber could have plugged the vent or it is pinched. If you run with the cap loosened, it will tell you if this is the problem.
Would I buy a new vehicle with onstar? Maybe. Would I renew the subscription beyond the initial 3 year term...probably not. I'm fine with using the fob for what I need.
Ha! In this manual they call them pulleys.

If the primary is not opening up all the way at idle, then it will rub the belt and will want to creep forward. Either the bushing is sticky or it is worn or has broken parts.
Engine has the primary clutch and that drives the secondary with the belt. In the primary, the weights, arm shape, and spring all dictate how the primary shifts. The secondary also has spring tension/preload, and ramps that will change how the clutch shifts. Generally, the tighter the secondary...
I'm just not seeing the high cost items that separate standard flow and high flow models. I'm just seeing some valving and hose differences and the electrical bits. I hope we get some real facts on this subject.
Get a light grapple that opens wide with good gullet space. You will be amazed how much brush it will carry compared to a bucket. Learn to position the grapple and curl forward to compress piles down before clamping them. Maybe you can get a grapple attachment that bolts to your bucket.

Are your 3 point arms level? Being that the mower lift comes off of the 3pt, the adjustment for leveling 3pt will affect the mower too. Also, the rods attaching the mower lift mechanism to the 3pt has the springs and adjustment nuts. Mine was double nutted. So, first, get your tire pressures...

For people that spend a large amount of their life in a car, onstar may be worth it. For me, I spend very little time in the car so it is wasted money. A VERY basic vehicle works great for me. Here are the onstar plans and prices:

Years ago, it was very common for highway departments to plant Crown Vetch on the embankments. Now it is considered invasive as it spreads pretty quickly. My QV is in bloom right now and looks like a blanket of pink clover.
An emulsifier will help suspend the water so your tank stays cleaner...BUT...if you have a high pressure common rail system, it may be at the cost of your injectors and pump. If that is the case, you are better using a demulsifier and mechanically removing the water that drops out...
It looks like the wimpy design of the pivot area allowed the pin to slip out of one side of the arm while still retained in the other side. Then, the twisting and bending happened. Maybe if the pin was retained on BOTH ends this would not have happened.
This new onstar/internet package is not even close to the old one....in fact, the old one is not even supported anymore. People demand more from their vehicles now and that is driving the market. If a car maker charges $500 more for a certain popular paint color, is that greed? No one is forcing...
People want to be connected to the internet as they drive the people hauler. Just like any option or feature, will it draw people or will they avoid it. The majority seems to drive the available options/features like it or not.

For load bearing pivots like the front axle (hardest zerk to find?), I try to take the load off with a hi-lift jack before greasing. That way the lube gets where it is needed.

Notice how going to 6 ply from 4 ply gains you 225 lbs of load and ups your max pressure from 22 to 32lbs. When looking at your tire pictures, you have really been working your sidewalls. At least move up to a 6 ply....you won't regret it.

The 4 ply turfs will be lawn friendly and will ride softer than HD tires. Maybe move up to 6 ply turfs if you plan on digging in rocky conditions. Sure, those R4 tires are a tougher tire but they ride harder and offer no traction on slick stuff. Take a hard look at what you plan to use the...

Maybe a weak lift pump or fuel stop solenoid? Being that it starts right up, I would lean toward the solenoid. Some solenoids have pull and hold circuits so it might be weak on the hold.

Alcohol does not "rid" the water. Instead, it allows the water and fuel to mix and be burned. That is the issue. I would rather physically remove the water before the injectors and pump get damaged by it.
The big Bronco has had their issues. The hard tops were de-laminating, the soft tops come unglued, and the 2.7L engine blows up. I do like the looks of them but a person needs a top and engine sometimes.
It is important to match the wood stove size to your needs. Too big of a firebox will have you opening windows or smoldering a fire (not good) to control the heat. A well matched size allows you to have a efficient clean burning fire that doesn't cook you out. Also, that clean burning fire has...
With it only being 660 sq ft and insulated, it won't take much to heat. A very small pellet stove would work and may vent out the wall. Check on small wood stoves that are for campers, RV's, or mobile homes.
I would not be checking for vibrations at idle or with the flail lifted high so the pto shaft u-joints are at such an angle. I would find a hollow for the flail to sit as close to cutting height as you can and sit it on blocks. You don't cut with it 18" in the air at idle, instead, you have it...
I have a Country 210 that heats 1600 sq ft and has been a trouble free stove for many years and I would buy again. The fan is 700cfm which is more than most. I have the pedestal with the ash dump which makes clean out easy. The door latch is heavy duty and doesn't have small parts to wear out...
I have seen people advising NOT to pre-fill your new fuel filter on a modern common rail system. If you do, you may contaminate the fuel system. Another thing, they say to NOT crack the injector lines on those same common rail systems to bleed them.
Not all filters and filter media are created equal. When Bobcat switched from Kubota to Doosan, they upgraded the filtering media from a 10 micron to a 2 micron system. They also use a special nano filter media that refuses water transfer.
It's not just the power of the starter motor. It is the power of the rotating mass and the inertia it has, and how it is amplified by the mechanical advantage being multiplied at near top dead center. If you instantly stop the piston just before TDC, the crankshaft still may roll through if the...
I doubt it. I bought the 982 in the late 90's and it had new paint, engine, tires, seat, fuel tank, steering wheel, etc....by the dealer. He would restore tractors during the winter months.
The all-wheel-steering option was a game changer for me so I have a Deere X744. For yard mowing, it does a great job and the wife loves it. She mows the yard while I work on other stuff. I also have a 1983 982 IH Cub Cadet.

Oh man.....a dry engine working hard mowing tall grass with no warning until it gave up. You should buy a lotto ticket if you didn't cause serious damage. Good luck!
If a ball bearing cage has come apart, the inner race may not run concentric to the outer race. This would allow the mower spindle to not run true and would shake. If this is the case, it won't last long.

That rusty gear set on the pto might be a clue why the pto won't run. Did whatever gearbox was running blow up and they couldn't get the rest of it off the shaft? There might be a bunch of broken parts inside.........

We cut dead hard oaks here and a good oiler makes a difference. I swapped my 460 oiler out for the PNW HO oiler and put the 460 one in the 361. That bumps the output up in case I'm in that dry hard oak.

I agree with the other posters. The bolt is partly sheared and the clutch is partly frozen/rusted to the gearbox shaft. Spray lube on the connection and keep working at it. (y)
I did some tilling with the neighbor's new Kubota LX3301 and I thought....wow, this is a noisy little tractor. My NH TC33D was way quieter that than this thing is.
The cutter had a clutch, not a shear bolt. The clutch didn't slip so the bolt was forced to shear. Maybe clutch models don't have the clip as shear pin models do because you would have to disassemble the clutch to install the clip. This is why we loosen the clutch to slip it every year.
Having no pedal free-play clearance or a operator resting a foot on the pedal will take a throw-out bearing (and cause slip). Noisy while driving.......hmmm

TC33D Hydrostat pedal linkage. Tractor moves forward when clutch is let out in gear
Look at post #7 (picture) and see detail "A".....that is the centering device.
Did you lube the shaft that the cruise paddle rides on? There is also a damper (sba378910020) that slows the pedal movement. Then there is the peddle centering device that has a spring, rod, and guides inside and it is suppose to get the pedal to neutral when released.
For a winter blend, contractors here will end up with a 50/50 or 60/40 blend to keep from gelling in very cold weather. If you run a high blend, I would suggest using an additive to add lubricity to the fuel as kerosene is lacking it.

Your missing bolt is a 3/4 x 3.5" long (not including head) and the bolts where the bent support meets the deck is a 3/4x2" bolt. The bolt and self locking nut takes a 1 1/8 wrench.
You are missing the stop bolt down by the left dog-bone (below left lift arm). The nut on the right one is about falling off too. The Flex Hitch linkage is sitting all cockeyed in the picture. Maybe that had something to do with your issue.
Those are R14 tires, not turf. The guys should really read the manual on mower set up as far as the guide wheel height. Also, read about mowing in reverse.
I blow out my radiator (JD X744) every time I mow. I use a blow gun wand and blow from the engine side (reverse flow direction). Use a mirror and light to check if you can see through the radiator...if you can't see through it, air can't get through it. It seems for driving around, the cooling...
