Yes it can be done! .... Parts arrive today and work began.. Removed plunger rod from barrel and filed off ears retaining old seal.... Pulled old seal off.... Slid new backup washer and new seal on rod... Found out rod was 5/16 and I did not have 5/16 threading die So I could put nut on shaft...

The thing I like about WIX is you can go their web page and put in filter number and you get a page as to all the important specifications like "anti flow back or not", thread diameter and pitch and micron rating. burst pressures, gasket size and so forth... And yes Wix makes most NAPA filters...

Have JD L120 mower with 20hp Briggs Intek "V" twin and its miserable to try and start.... Did internet search and solution seems to be adjusting valves to .004 for intake and .006 for exhaust.... According to some "compression release" mumbo jumbo with cam... Well that is not solution. valves...

THis is what I did.... Seems to work for me... Just two chain slot "hooks" made for 2x2x1/4 angle iron and a EYE for shackel in center.. All depends what sort of "work" you expect to do... Dale

Yeah..... Guess what happened when I took my 220 pounds off operators position.... This started my adventure into ballast.... According to spec sheet the JD L120 weighs 520 pounds. A bit less than the FEL lift capacity- think about it... ... Dale

What I did was not having weight of FEL, I guesses it at 800 pounds...SO 1340 for bare tractor, plus 800 for FEL and plus 850 pounds lift capacity.... And then dividing by 4 to get 25%... 1350 + 800 + 850 = 2950 / 4 = 737 pounds (or 25%) So at 600 pounds (+/-) I think I am in safe range...

Hate PTFE tape, it commonly referred to as a sealant but its actually a thread lubricant designed to allow you to put more turns on fitting to tighten it to cause better thread interference (seal)... Have better luck with most every type of threaded connection using product below be it...

Quick Hitch is Cat I by BE AG & Industrial (QH1G).. Went this way because of different securing of adjustable top hook.... All the "other" cheap Chinese QH seem to need different top hook or some sort of "fix" because bolts for top hook interfere with top link on attachments (read/research...

If both QH's are CAT 1, I would go with one that has most adjustability because most implements are all over the place in size as most are not made for quick hitches or before quick hit came on the scene... Dale

Here is more confusion.... Might want to add a quick hitch to tractor if you plan to switch implements and attachment frequently... (click on thumbnail) And if you want to tow or pull something, any insert that will fit in receiver may be fair game...One just be aware of height above/below...

Generally "shaft" seals has numbers stamped/moulded into them, usually on side away from the lip, yeah in your case probably on side in casting that you can not see... If you have good calipers you can measure shaft size and "shell" size of existing seal you can do internet search and...

My JD L120 died on me out on back property, yeah "Runs Like A [Dead] Deer", anyway went to retrieve it and with front bumper and wheels of L120 I managed to wedge it into FEL... Came in from back property and while L120 was still elevated in loader jumped off tractor.... MISTAKE... My 215...

Also loading FEL like you have, you may want to consider rear ballast.... Anything over about 400 pounds in FEL tends to make rear of tractor VERY LIGHT... like with no brakes unless in 4WD... Dale

Have a MF GC1715 and it has a "sight glass" for checking oil in HST, trouble is oil is so clear you can not tell if it is above or below sight glass (have yet to see oil level in glass) but upon using a piece of wire as a dip stick I sort of determined oil is above sight glass... Question is...

You are not getting it.... IF attachment plate face is 20 degree down angle (in dump) and you attache spear level (parallel) to earth, then if you use "roll back" to max you get 20 degree (plus) up angle on spear..... Dale

The real question is what is considered free wheeling,... How much energy (pounds pull) will it take to unspool (freewheel) the cable/winch drum... The valving is simple, apply pressure to clutch port motor is engaged, remove pressure from clutch port motor disengages, its all there in data...

You might want to consider moving your stop/turn/emergency tail lamp from out side of ROPS to insides... I can guarantee you that a replacement lamp fixture is $127... Just unplug and swap them side to side and remount on inside... Dale

Since I got QH first (BE Ag & Industrial) I simply setup all my attachments when I acquire them to fit QH and after that no connect issues.... One of the issues it seems with a "new" QH and already acquired implements is people seem to think it will magically fit and are grumbling it does...
