for some reason a couple of photos didn't seem to post even when i try to edit. here is breakfast and post workout smoothie both containing protein powder

The prawn cake is high in protein but I also use protein powder I put a scoop of this protein powder in my post workout smoothie with frozen banana, spinach, oat milk, almond butter and cinnamon.

Here’s my lunch today Spinach salad with olive oil, sunflower seeds and Thai hot chil prawn cake Washed down with a freshly juiced apple, carrot, beet , ginger root shooter.

here’s my special order F150 regular cab (6.5 foot) short box. my dealer sells 500(+~-) F150s per year and was only allotted one regular cab last year and this one for 2023.

my dealer says the proliferation of 4 door pickups has cut into the original SUV market. in some cases it’s a lot to do with work/play and business write offs

My rare vise find yesterday. A “pre Irwin” (made in England or USA) Record heavy duty engineer’s vise with 6” offset jaws. They are no longer available in North America, but Chinese and Indian clones are plentiful in Australia.

Here are a few photos of a new welding cart I have been working on..

this would be a normal roller for smoothing and breaking clods. a roller for a turf farm would be water filled, narrower and at least 5-6 feet in diameter for greater weight per square inch. here's an old pic of mine (behind the middle tractor)

Glad you didn't lose any money lol The 250 pound center section (48"x30"x5/8") is steel though. It was a crop from the last welding table I built.

The plywood was stained and clear coated. I had planned to laminate it but no sheets of industrial colors were readily available. Only kitchen colors. (granite, marble etc)

Modified another pair with 1 5/8" pins for the cast iron platen while I was at it used a cut off portion of a clamp to use as a hanger....

I modified some sliding arm F clamps for the 1 3/8"D holes on my round welding table And it worked well replacing a broken 1" pivot pin for my neighbor's 2x20' sprayer boom

Dragged home a new anvil today…

This table is prob about 400 pounds. I haven't weighed it yet Didn't need weight in the base. The top is heavy but only 36 inch diameter and the base is 22 inch diameter. At 32" overall height you can't tip it. The other larger diameter table will need a heavier base though.

I did it outside and surprisingly enough it wasn’t nearly annoying as a dry cut chop saw. A little slow and tiring for my liking though.

My first time using on this thickness (3/4”) Quite certain this would be the limit. It worked quite well. You need to take your time though. Pretty good $20 (at the time) investment. I bought the blade on sale 10-12 years ago.

These three oilers were totally covered in rust which necessitated presoaking in undiluted cleaning vinegar.

I purchased a little ultrasonic cleaner for small parts around the shop. This is my first experience with one and it’s pretty cool Safety first! I even read the instruction sheet…. A few drops of detergent and a few cups of vinegar cleaned up these brass mini blow torches nicely…

I only have a radial brush on a die grinder. I find I don’t do much fine detail work to benefit from them. Most of my projects require a coarse wire.

I used the chopped off 5/8" NC bolt remnant from my welding clamp mod last week.... and screwed it into a matching coupling nut (avec Loctite) to create an extended reach arbor

The HDPE is to keep sh*t from rattling around on the steel shelf. The two sided tape was because it’s easy, works well and I was too lazy to drill and countersink.

1/4” black HDPE installed with 3M double sided tape

The snow is gone and it warmed up to 50°F the last two days so I thought I had better get my welding table painted..... Tomorrow I will cut a piece of 1/4" HDPE for the the lower shelf

Because the end flanges are inboard perhaps the likelihood of grass or trash wrapping up against the bearings is reduced.

I bought this pair of vintage Bessey F clamps for $10cdn and promptly chopped the fixed jaw off and welded 5/8"D ends for the welding table....
