For sure. Just keep in mind not any Honda will work. Small Engine Warehouse makes a repower kit for the Horse. The crank is turned down to fit the top pulley. You might or might not need some shims to align both pulleys. Love those Honda engines

The engine is a Kohler M8T. Great engines. I got that on my 1993 Horse. It was perfect until the recoil broke and no parts available from Kohler. I sold the non running engine for $150 to a guy that needed the fuel tank. They are not available either. I’m very pleased with the GX270 Honda. So smooth

I use T6 Rotella 5W-40 in my L3830GST and my RTV1120 because I use them year around. My ZD326 gets T6 in 15W-40 as it’s warm weather use only.

Oh, by the way. A Kohler repair kit is a GX series Honda. My 29 year old Horse with the Kohler M8T had an issue with the ignition coil that caused kickback that ruined the recoil. No parts available for the M8T recoil. So I installed a GX270 and really love it
