Well the most famous and well known are the alfalfa export farmers in California that are exempt from all water restrictions and emissions. Let the state burn so they can water crops!

    FROZEN MANURE ON BUCKETS

If you want to go that route, it might be better to cut a thinner stall mat to your bucket shape (bottom back and sides). Maybe wire the two ends to one of the larger peices. Then you just pick it up and throw it back in the bucket. Or use a rope/chain on them and they can hang when you dump.

    Mitsubishi MT4201FS

Closest I can figure on that block number is that it might be the generator engine produced by Mitsubishi Fuso and used in Shibarura tractors (who also made some of the New Holland, ford, case IHI tractors and may have used this engine). Common rail vs mechanical injection

Valmet had a 2.7L 3cyl turbo in the late 70s early 80s. Normally made something like 35hp, the turbo pushed it to 50. Hardly ever saw them, neighbor had one. Never heard of them before or saw one since and I am too cheap to buy one.

They pushed turbo and charger use in tractors as well as being involved in developing the compex charger. They currently produce both types of tractors. It seems that is heresy here, so they cant exist.

Turbo rebuild is 500+ plus all of the piping, so around 1k. Turbos are killed faster when shutdown hot. Idle for half an hour so they cool down kills any savings. Average turbo life is measured in 100s of hours before the bearings wear out. Will never buy a turbo diesel again.

    Common rail vs mechanical injection

Diesels seem to be rather more forgiving in this area. It is not something you would want to have happen mid-spark with a gas engine.

What size trailer do I need for my tractor?

If tractordata is approximately right, your tractor and loader are about 166" or almost 14'. Myself I'd suggest considering a 16' - 20' dump/box trailer with ramps and the largest tandem axles you can afford 7.5, 10, or 12.5. Or that your license allows you. Understanding draft control

Not sure some of us ever saw an owners manual for the old tractors we had. They used to refuse to even give you parts pages so you could check assembly order. If the parts guy really liked you, sometimes they showed you the microfiche. Draft sense is great for things like row tillers, mowers...

    MT 180 Freeze Plug.

If it is the expansion plug in the side of the block, yeah that is shown. I must-read, thought they were asking about the one by the waterpump, that these tractors dont have. They do have a large section on antifreeze quality and mixing though.
  137. C

    MT 180 Freeze Plug.

Take your pick of what you want to call a freeze plug. If yours has one, someone added it, there is nothing in any of the service manuals or parts manuals that include the MT180. If it is an issue in your area, you are probably better off to use a heat mat on your block since it is cast iron.

Why no 4 wheel drive on roads?

Odd segway to diesel-electric drivetrain. It is unlikely to happen, that is why hydraulic final drives exist. Too expensive for most compact tractors though, at that price point people buy a skidsteer or telehandler instead.
  140. C

Why no 4 wheel drive on roads?

You are right. Now that I think on it, the front axle is a type of bevel pinion drive.
  141. C

Why no 4 wheel drive on roads?

Until you get to the full sized tractors, the front axle is usually a locked differential when engaged. Not sure about trying to compare it to a 4wd truck which would have an open, remote, or automatic differential locking system.
  142. C

Why no 4 wheel drive on roads?

Most tractors have smaller wheels on the front than the back. The smaller wheels rotate at a faster rate than the rear wheels. There is a small amount of play in your gears, as the rotation rates are slightly different, they will quickly reach their maximum and start to bind against each...
