I found with my PA 300 Lincoln's Excalibur 7018 wets out real nice.

I'm fairly new to this welding game, so take my advice with a grain of salt. When making long welds like that. Back step them, and skip around. This will help control the warpage. ;)

Looks like it won't fall off. That's how mine are, I've been a hobby project welder for over 40 years and very few of my welds look perfect. I did use the step weld method.
I hope you remembered to weld the nuts on before welding the angle to the bucket.

Yeah, there are no LWS close by so end up with whatever TSC has. I will get some Excalibur when I get a chance.
I didn't really need that long of a weld, but I need the practice. Thanks for the advice but if you have only been welding for about 3-5 weeks I might have more experiance than you....LOL. Ha....Ha.

Yeah I did, but I had to double & triple check it.

Here's what the Excalibur looks like run with my PA-300. Funny thing, my PA-200 really likes ESAB's Atom Arc 7018. But on the PA-300 it's a very dry / non flowing puddle.:confused3:

Oh yeah, quite a difference, guess I better get some Excaliber. What brand of 6010 does your PA 300 like?

I have good luck with ESAB's 10P, and Lincoln's 5P-Plus 6010.

Thanks SA, I'll probably try the 5P-plus.
