Went to the JD dealer this morning and saw the 3005. I like it.. better alternator, better front axle and engine that meets California emmissions. I thought it sat a bit lower then the one I looked at last year but this 3005 had turf tires and the 790 had ag tire. The dealer said he thought the sheet metal had been "smoothed". The lines on it looked good.
Price was not to far upwards from last year. I had a MMM and Mid PTO priced in so I could compare the 3005 to the 2320. The 3005 with 300 loader , 61" bucket w/cutting teeth and a 60"MMM on the 3005 came to $20,000.08
The 2320 with a 200cx loader w/53" bucket and 54" on ramp MMM came to $17,642.64
The price difference is largly due to almost $500.00 for a mm pto on the 3005,(std on the 2320) and the 3005 heavier loader is $3825.00 compared to $2740.00 on the 2320.
Both are great machines having just sat on them. Like everyone now it's up to me. Kind of leaning towards the hydro on the 2320 just for the ease of use. I haven't heard any problems with the hydros. It would be nice to have the 3 speed hydro that Kubota is coming out with. I'll be going back there next week.
Anyway, I have attached some pictures of the 3005 in this post. I'll post the 2320 pics in my next post so the dial up members aren't wasting time looking at something they don't want to see. Both of these machines are the new 08 models.
And yes: The new 3005 engine is a Yanmar.
