Anyone here have a 4707 Deluxe? Thoughts, good or bad?

Have one. Great all around utility tractor. Perfect size for my sixty acres. The other colors with the options that were standard put them over the top. 4707 deluxe open station

What does everyone have for stabilizer bars on a 4707 deluxe? Turn buckle or telescoping? Literature says telescoping but I’ve seen a few with turnbuckle & apparently the telescoping is backordered?

It's a combination. Pull the pin, get it close, then turn turnbuckle to fine tune and lock. My grandson Peanut will show you a closeup

I have found the stabilizer setup on my Massey not as friendly as the one on my last Kubota. But it works.
Neighbor took some pics of my tractor, hope to be out in fields in a few days, after this last rain dries, and rototill that field
for potatoes and collards going in next week.

Ohh, my dealer doesn’t sell many of these tractors.. or this sales guy doesn’t ask the right people questions. (He’s nice, they just sell more orange)
When I demo’d it I thought it had to be turned by hand the entire time & it was such a pain. That sounds actually really nice to keep the movement/sway out of it. They said the tractor would arrive today, but they said that before a few times so I’ll wait and see.

He does have the 34's. However, the 4707 should have 30's. The 4708, 9, 10 should have 34's. My dealer said that the 4707 will be underpowered with 34's .

yes, 420/85/34 a lot more tire than 70hp needs...but happy to have them.

it is such a pleasure using this heavy solid bottom grapple on the Massey, totally overloaded my Kubota, but now it's properly
matched to the tractor. The hydraulic speed on this tractor is very fast. I almost chucked a log back into my windshield pulling up too quickly at one point, got some air but not backwards. ok dokey, a little slower next time...

I'm having a technical problem with the tractor that they didn't fix when it was back in the shop two weeks ago. And I'll take responsibility, sent long email to owner, not work order to service mgr. Whisper down the line missed a big one.
At idle or even elevated rpm, in neutral, tractor jerks and shakes gently at times. Feels like clutches are grabbing slightly.
A bit disconcerting to feel. Does it once, then stops. Wait a minute or two. Does it again. Sometimes quicker than that.
Haven't focused on outside temps when happening but nothing out of range for sure.
Once I'm in gear problem disappears. Only when in neutral, parking brake on or off.

I have field work to do and no time to have the Massey disappear again. Maybe in a couple of weeks I'll have them pick it up and take it back again. Thankful they provide the service and they won't charge me. But not convenient for me and speaks to a concern I now have with the dealership. Hard for me to believe they didn't notice that jerking feeling while the tractor was there for service. Hard for me to believe they didn't notice the bad steering, bad from the very beginning, which thankfully is now fixed with a new gear in the steering pump. They got this tractor in from another dealership and it is very clear to me no one spent much time getting it ready for me.

I agree.
another way of saying that is 70hp is not enough to get the full traction capability out of those size tires.
Anyone pulling heavy wide implements is going to go up to a higher hp tractor anyway.
But I've always liked over spec'd tires so this is fine with me; e.g. if the trailer needs a B tire, I put a C on it.

I am surprised that they are useing a 420/85 tire,
a 16.9-30 or 16.9-34 isn't that big of a tire.
I would have expected a 18.4-30 or so on that size tractor.
Which would have been a 460/85.

Hard to have to much tire, if it is pulling to hard drop down a gear.
I'd rather have to drop a gear then spin out.

The yuppie rating on my tractor is 70hp, the farmer rating is 60hp... lol It has 16.9x30's on the rear and if it's down on power a bit because of it, I just go down a gear.

Can someone explain or video show on the 4707 how fast the rear arms are supposed to raise and lower? From inside the tractor it goes down pretty slow..from anything I’ve ever seen. Then from the buttons (what is the sequence to get it working?) it was super super slow going down and they (mechanic) was leaning on it..

My next question is what type of 3rd function do you have? I’ve learned the Massey option is a diverter.. but I was told it was a true live 3rd function

Was it cold? That makes it slow. The sequence on the fender controls are down, up, down. On the console, it's up, down, up.
