Grew up around tractors, backhoes in highschool worked for a landscape company and at a Country Club driving tractors. I'm not exactly sure what age I got my first 8n I belive I was 24 years young. Did alot of rotary cutting with it. Then started skidding logs and selling firewood. It was way to small so I bought the L3750 frontend loader heated cab Kubota. That was 10 years ago. Now as I write this I'm 37 years young. Gettin ready for a carrer change!! Will know in the next few weeks.

Ok Thomas... We both have Kubota's, both have Farmall's, and both have Harley's????? Cool/w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif We goota get together some time! I'll forgive you for riding the honda, 'cause your out and riding. My FXR Evo is much smoother than the '74 FX of a friend that I tried. My wife's '93 FXR is VERY smooth(her first bike was a basket Sportster she built). It's really easy to spend hours on either bike.

I never cramp up in the mountians; there's plenty of that around here in the Gold Country.

Bird,
I can fit a six pack in each saddle bag and make a drive just fine(not while drinking!!! think safety). My FXR does wiggle a bit at idle, but I think most of that is the cam, extra compression that I have.

Oh, I can't resist/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
My expierience is primarily with '84 and newer EVO's.

My 84 FXR: Has semi stranded me a couple times. Cause... My "modifications". Fortunatley easy to fix! I make much better mods now... This is a first year EVO..
Wifes 93 FXR: Never a single problem or issue.
My old '80 Suzuki: Lights went out at 11pm on I-80 near Truckee. Almost got ran over by three different big rigs. Leaked oil. was loud(Kerker header on it when I got it). She polished up nice, but leaked like crazy.

The only thing I knew HD sttod for was $100; every piece of chrome ect...

Gosh, DFB, first time I've heard of a Zundapp in years. That was the first bike I ever bought, but usually don't even count it as one I owned because I didn't keep it 2 weeks. It was a used one and ran great at high speeds, but would choke down (flood) cruising at 55. When it would start to bog down you could downshift, which would rev it up, and clear the excess gas out and go again. The dealer tried working on it two or three times, then told me I just wasn't running it hard enough, so I told him if I couldn't cruise down the highway at 55 he could have it back.

And Wingnut, the '85 Aspencade was the finest bike I ever rode. Never did understand why they later dropped the digital instrument panel. It was great, and the only one I ever saw on ANY kind of machine that was always easy to read no matter how the bright the sun or how dark the night, and never any glare. It was truly amazing.
