Any advice for chains/straps without hacking up my tractor or trailer?

What a pain! I remember last time I moved my BX25 I spent a ridiculous amount of time chaining it down, partly because there were not enough tie-downs on the trailer to give me the right angles on the chains. Also, the width in between the wheel wells did not allow me to put the stabilizers right down on the deck. (I would have only needed another inch or so.) Perhaps if I back the tractor on to the trailer, and then find a way to actually fasten the stabilizer "feet" right to the deck....



Needless to say, I had not yet finished chaining the tractor down when I took this photo.

Thanks All. Points well taken.
1. I'm not happy with the front chain angle either. I'm looking at the other machine tie points too. 2. The front FEL ratchet straps are mounted to the trailer frame, (front), with axle straps on the machine as shown. This thing is not going anywhere backwards, anyway. 3. It took me too long to get the trailer/tractor ready to go. Need to refine my system, no doubt about it. 4. A friend dropped off 6 ft of 6 inch used fire hose to use as chafing guard. I'm going to cut it and slip it over the straps.

I learned very quickly I can drive my tractor 5 to 7 miles quicker than I can trailer it. I can do about 20 mph comfortably in road gear. It takes 15 minute hitch up. Another 15 to chain down. I'm already there in that amount of time.

Opposite usually for me. Fastest tractor I have clocks around 12mph.

I don't see a extra stake pockets or a rub rail down the side of your trailer for dropping a chain through so looks like you'll need to weld on a few more D-rings in the right places.
