It will get done eventually, I think patience is the key here :) Heck, Ive waited this long :)

If you get it done too quickly, you'll just have to find another project. You might as well take your time and enjoy this one.:)

It's really looking nice. You're on the downhill side of this mountain.

Thanks Jim,
Yep, that is so true:) This is definitely the fun part of the project, bolting nice clean painted parts back on the tractor :)

Especially when I think back when I was covered with dirt and grease and the wife was complaining about dirty hands etc... :)

Well I put the repro grill on the Super A and it looks more like Darth Vader than a Super A :)

I guess I better get the spray gun ready :)

The good news is that Im not getting any coolant leaks :)

That is looking real good. I am glad to hear that people are making repro parts even if they are pricey.

Hi Beam,
Thanks. Well actually they are only making certain parts for certain tractors. Obviously these guys that are making the stamping dies for these parts know very well exactly how many tractors of that vintage were produced before they spend thousands of dollars on tooling. On the Farmall A, Super A and C these grills on interchangeable. Just the A and B alone accounted for over 200,000 tractors, not counting the C. You can also get the hood, but there are no repro gas tanks. Mine had a significant amount of rust and I ended putting a box of locknuts in the tank along with some solvent and tumbled it for a few hours. Clean as a whistle now :)

Bottom line, certain tractors and certain parts :)

If push came to shove, I'm certain Scotty could make his own parts if he wanted to...

Mornin Rob,
Well certain parts anyway :)

Speaking about makin anything Rob, dont throw those shop drawings away of the adjustable scarifiers on your boxblade :) I might have that kind of time on my hands someday :)

Just let me know Scotty. They are not 100% but I'm sure you can make heads or tails out of them easily. They are elcectronic files so I could email them to you in whatever format you desire. Just send me a pm or email. Maybe you could make some improvements if your boxblade doesn't have the same restrictions mine did?

Hey Scotty. I'm not a great Farmall expert, but a friend of mine sent me these pictures of two old Farmalls he passed on the road between Forney and Terrell, TX. I think it's funny that they are rusting away, but they have washtubs protecting the seats. :)
