Do this. It will run fine but with a load you need to supply the engine with more air and fuel.

If what you state (the engine bogging down) I wouldnt be looking at a hydraulic issue. Fuel and air lacking will cause a loaded engine to bog.
Sorry if I wasn’t clear in my explanation . The engine is running fine in my opinion, but the implements (54”mower, 47”snowblower) are what is bogging down under load. I just changed the plugs and cleaned the air filter, this past fall. I haven’t found a fuel filter but will have a better look and change it. I have a tach to check rpm, to make sure it’s reving to max. Thanks for your advice!

Is this the gas engine garden tractor with a Kawasaki 22 HP engine?

If it is this forum may not have the best experts for a gas engine

It’s a 2000 JD 445 22hp Kawasaki, mid PTO, 54” deck, 47” snow blower front quick hitch, rear three point hitch. Just a pensioner trying what I can to avoid paying 120.00 an hour for a so called expert to fix it for me . Thanks for your advice.

I would also check the fuel and air filters. If you have changed hyd filter to after market you might want to get a JD one.
Why would that be? Do you really think JD makes their own filters? :ROFLMAO:
