B21 HST strainer

Seems like the HST strainer elbow tube is quite stiff. Assuming its rubber. I'm concerned about cracking it at some point. So close to the end of this task I can taste it. Only some of that is brake cleaner overspray. I'm going out with a electric heat gun now to try and soften it up. Other ideas?

An attempt at a joke. Used a lot of brake cleaner where the pressure washer did not hit. Around the filter housing, and such.

Can you post a pic of the strainer elbow?

It looks like a radiator hose 90 degree bend about 1 1/4 inch diameter. No matter, I did get it to come out a bit and it did not want to flex enough to pull the strainer out. The other end was up very difficult to get at and seemed to have two hose clips on it. I pulled it out as far as I could, realized it was clean as could be and called it good.
