The B7800 can be ordered by the dealer with either the fixed, or folding ROPS. Those tractors ordered with the folding ROPS come with a mid pto, those ordered with the fixed one do not.

If you sit in a B series seat, and don't feel at all like you are sliding forward, you probably are sitting in a new seat. The new seat has a raised area in the middle of the front / bottom, and the old one does not. The pattern of raised panels on the seat back is also different....... two panels on the new seat, three smaller ones on the old seat I think.

This is interesting news ! I looked at a used 7800 with a fixed ROPS. I had no idea the were even offered with no mid PTO. If thats the case.... no need of me to take a second look at it !

speaking of seats is there a way to tell the new seat design from the old problemsome one on the B3030?

The new seats feel perfect. The B7800 I rented had the forward tilting seat, and it was terrible - very uncomfortable. You'll know it the minute you sit your butt in the seat if it's the good one, or if it needs to be replaced.

I'm not sure that I'm totally convinced that the B20 series is enough of an upgrade from my BX either, but like how nimble they are.

The B3030, based on my test drive today, seems plenty nimble too, just a bit wider and more stable than the smaller machine. Turning radius, based on the tracks I made in the dirt, were the same between the B2920 and B3030.

8 hours in the seat of a B7800 proved it too was very nimble, yet stable, and quite the perfectly sized workhorse for my needs.

A couple of notes here:
Ductape.. I looked up the fixed rops thing, and I made a mistake in my statement. You can get the mid pto as an option with a fixed rops, but it comees standard with the folding one. It is possible that a used B7800 with fixed rops would have a mid pto, but unlikely.

Bandit.. I did some checking after I wrote my reply, and the turning radius on the new B's is the same as the B7800/B30's so I guess there is a good reason that they both felt nimble!

Well I found my solution to avoiding a mid-life crisis: Purchase a B2920!
see attached, clocked 2hrs on it yesterday, what a joy... Glad I went with the R4s. Very pleased with the power, size, traction, looking forward to play again...

Nice! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. It is a nice little machine. Did you at least get to dig up some frozen terra firma with the backhoe before taking it off?

Congrats on the new purchase. I'm still waiting on the dealer to get in a MMM (3 weeks now) before I purchase a b2320. I'm jealous. I can't wait to get my new toy, and although I wish the government was sounding out rebate checks, it will buy a mighty fine attachment later on. Thanks for posting the picks for us junkies.

SnowRidge...... NICE !!! I'm jealous ! Yours is the first i've seen with a hoe on it. I may invite myself up for a visit to try it out.

There sure has been a lot of very good information on the new Bx20 series tractors on this site. Most of my questions have been answered. Stopped by the local dealer this week - no tractors yet but they did have the 2008 full line brochure. Does anyone know what size turf tires are on these tractors? It looks like the B2320 and B2920 probably have the same size and the B2320 tires would be a little smaller. Only the ag tire sizes are listed in any of the literature I have seen so far. It also looks like the only mower offered is the suspended model. I think I would still prefer the other mower, but it probably would not make that much difference.

I saw a B2320 with turfs yesterday. The tires looked to be the same size as those shown on the B2920. I think that only the R-1 ag tires will be smaller, just as it was with the B7xxx series.

Elsie, According to the manual, turf tires are 33x12.5 - 15"
No Bandit, no chance to play with the BH, did at the dealer though, wanted to get it off so I could play in the snow, 3pt arms were off, took a little time to get those on with the sub-frame, but got it on. Looking to put more lights on the unit. Muffler manifold has a rattle once things are hot, will need to address that one.

Question for you bota owners: 2920 manual states to get the tractor 'warmed up' for at least 5 minutes before use, do any of you do this? Seems a little long...

Interesting. I did notice that the 2920 I fired up yesterday seemed to take a bit longer to warm up than the 4 banger in the 3030. Ran pretty rough for a minute, too, which seemed odd for such a small diesel.

Saw the 2320 today with turfs, already with a prominent sold label on it. sure has a small bucket, whats the largest width that can go on the 2920?

   / B2320, B2620, and B2920 #196
Only 1 bucket option on the 2620/2920's LA364 loader - 50". And when I put a tape measure to it, it was only 49". The BX has a 48" bucket.

Question about the MMM and 3 point lift arms:

If I have the mmm attached can I raise and lower an attachment on the 3 pt hitch without raising and lowering the MMM?

I guess the question is, how is the MMM raised and lower? I know there is a dial to adjust cutting height, but does that work independently of the 3pt hitch?

MDM, if it is like other Kubota mmm's, you will be able to "pin" the mower up when not in use, allowing full use of the 3pt hitch.

   / B2320, B2620, and B2920 #199
You can use the hitch without the mower going up and down, but you cannot do it the other way around. Deere offers a separate control as an option for their 2305, which would be nice. I took the lift arms off my Deere X495 and hang the 3 pt. arms on a chain so my mounted PTO Trac-Vac doesn't go up and down with the mower. I also put a separate mower lift cylinder on my B7100 so I can operate the mower and hitch separately. Just turn the handle under the seat to control either the mower or hitch.

Well SnowRidge, I took your advice and avoided my mid-life crisis and purchased a 2320 with FEL and MMM on Saturday. Unfortunately I won't get it until Friday. They had to weld on some chain hooks to the loader, mount a worklight for the back, and mount armrests onto the seat before bringing it. Also, they are still waiting on the MMM to come in. I hope I made the right choice but a guy can only bear researching and pricing for so long... Spring is almost here and I want to be ready. On a side note, can anyone tell me if they think the b2320 will pull a 5 ft box blade. I have one that I can pick up on the cheap, but the owner's manual states that a 54 in. is the max? Any thoughts?
