Comparison B26 vs B series tlb

Hi Rhino421

I have two of the curved style ShelterLogic shelters on my property and they have worked well in our Canadian winters for the last three seasons. The one I have is a little larger than the one in the photo I think as mine are 24' x 12' x 10' high. Note the door does not open to the full height so be sure and check the top of door opening on the one you get. You need around 85" as I recall for the top of the B26 to make a clear entrance.

The only other issue I have had is that the door is a rollup type which works fine in the summer time but I find that in our cold Canadian winters the door does not roll up easily so I just unzip it and drive in.

Shelterlogic is what I have. The stuff is well made mine is 5 or 6 years old. If you get a lot of snow you should get one that will shed the snow. Good luck.

So did you get it home yet? If so, how do you like it? Come on, give us an update, and don't forget the pics.

I bought a used 20' sea container to store my B26. The seacan is delivered on a truck and when the truck bed is raised they can slide it most anywhere you want. I had mine lowered onto treated 8X8s so the door could open in the winter and not catch on ice and snow.

A seacan is strong and very theft resistant. The one problem is humidity so I cut small vent holes in the sides and covered them with mesh to keep small animals out. I did my research and the door of the seacan is just high enough for a B26. The FOPS does rub and one of the FOPS bolts caught and bent but apart from that it fits nice and snug.

I finished my seacan with a hip roof, doors, windows, alarm system and siding but that's because I'm in cottage country and the neighbours would've complained :)

I did a Google search and found a company out of California. Although I live in Canada and the seacan was delivered out of the Port of Montreal the US company handled everything. Delivered (in Canadian dollars) it cost me $2.2k. There are high seacans but they run about double that of a regular 20 footer.

Can you tell us the name of the company?
I'm in the market for some 40's.
thanks

Well, I got her home yesterday but we had about an inch of ran so the ground was very soft:(. I did take her for a spin today still soft ground but I need to regrade the area I was working on anyway plus couldn't resist trying out the new b/h thumb:thumbsup:. She is very manueverable and talk about nice tight turns! I had a few stumps that have been bugging me to get rig of for a couple years and decided this is a good learning project. It took me a little bit to get a feel for the controls but after the four stumps (2 pine, 2 oak) I was getting the hang of it. I was surprised at how easy it was to rip up roots and was done in less than an hour! The hoe does have alot of power for its size... The thumb was well worth the money! It was like having the incredible hulk at your disposal (grab that and put it over there, thankyou!) I do need to work on my grading stills and will have to wait for drier conditions to take care of some of the mess I made which really wasn't much... I do need to find an owners manual for they only had the manual for the backhoe and not the tractor:(. Otherwise I am very happy with this purchase as is my neighbor who already is lining up projects for me:laughing:

What size bucket does it have? Looks like an 18", possible 24". I went with the 12" myself, due to the very hard rocky soil in my area. I often wish I had picked the 18". Anyway enjoy your new toy.

Looking good Rhino! Looks like an 18" bucket to me. Be cautious not putting those stabilizers down. I know you're just lifting logs, but you jerk it on accident and it's a lot 'looser' without the stabilizers down. Look on eBay before you pay full price for a manual. I just got a manual for my new 110 that was 1/3 the price of getting a 'new' one.

Good looking machine used mine tonight for some concrete removal that thumb is priceless. Make sure you use outrigger as much as possible as its hard on it using the hoe with out them down. Here is picture of most used add-on which allows me to move with out turning around.
