Sense you mentioned freeze plugs, do you where I can get a block heater for a B7100?

sent PM about B7100 being parted out.

look at that website under:

Number of Matches: 9
This Page: 1 of 1

Found one in Ohio and one in PA so far. May have found one in NC. About 90 miles from me, waiting on reply. How is your project going?

Thanks for asking:

I'm impatiently waiting to get my parts back from sandblast & painting (they've told me "should be this week" for the last 3 weeks. Unfortunately I can't paint in the winter time except for rattle cans due to my garage heaters - unless I want some of your brethren here entertaining the neighbors!)

Otherwise have all the major parts just waiting for assembly. I'm pickin' around the little parts looking for something to do - tonight I even sandblasted and primed the 3 point attachment parts (that's pretty desperate i realize, especially since my little cabinet builds up static charge when blasting in the winter such that I'll lean in to look closely and get zapped on the nose).

Original engine at machine shop for evaluation. No obvious problem on eyeball inspection by them. I suspect it may have a bad rear main seal since there was oil all over inside of bell housing and clutch was soaked. Perhaps oil just leaked out by the back of engine prompting all the JB weld in that corner but was not a head issue at all. I am low priority at the machine shop so it will be a while until I find out.

When I get the parts back I'll post pictures on a new thread so I don't hijack your project but let you live vicariously until you get what you need to continue yours.

I will keep an eye on Craigslist midwest for 6100/7100 tranny parts -

Old paint, new paint.Spent he day sanding, priming, and painting sheet metal parts. Decided to use the newer Kubota Bright Orange to give my tractor a more current look. The hood is beyond repair and still haven't located one salvage. DSC03899.jpg

Nice work! I wonder how someone does that much damage to their hood. If you're careless or make one mistake, it happens once. But it looks to me like that hood had multiple impacts. Wow.

Wow, that hood looks way worse than mine and mine is beat.

JT, remember B6100 tractors also have the same hood.

I started a new thread on my build progress: "B7100 Modified Instrument Dash".

Ordered the transmission parts new yesterday. Tired of looking and finding. used parts that were as bad as mine. Finished painting the fenders and then hammered out my demolished hood to the point that lots of body putty would fix it but the chances of cracking would be high. Still looking for a real good salvage hood. I know that there are lots of B5100,6100, and 7100 tractors out there that have been parked to kill weeds for an eternity if only I could find them.
