I was denied warranty on my last set of NAPAs and that closed the door on them with me. The made 12 volts and tried to tell me that was enough to start a 9L diesel engine.
I told them they were full of excrement. Done.

If they want to play the game, then take them home. short them to 1v. then bring them back. games work both ways

They keep them overnight on their charger, then test them next day for that very reason.
They always seem to have just enough charge to pass the warranty test.

My 2022 Massey Ferguson 4707 tractor has a dead battery. The date of 09/11/2021 is on the battery, so I'm guessing that's how old it is.

I bought a battery for my wife's van last month, and the guy at NAPA said that batteries only last 3 years on modern cars because of all the electronics on them that never turn off. Her battery was 3 1/2 years old. It looks like my battery is just over 3 years old.

Does this make sense to everyone? I used to get five years out of a battery, and sometimes in older vehicles, even longer. 3 years just seems like it's too quick to die and need replacing.

I do not want another Massey Ferguson battery. I'll go to NAPA and see what they have during the week. Before I go there, I'm curious if this label makes any sense to you?

I haven't removed the battery yet. I should do that now, but it's too cold out there, and I'm going to work on my fence first.

Is there something that I should ask for when I go to NAPA to get a better battery?

Batteries have a memory. You may be able to bring it back to life by recharging it, but to get the memory of full charge, fit the charger to a good, near-new battery, then jumper cable your old battery to it so both batteries are charging. Leave it overnight, then try it.

I always buy the highest amp rated battery I can get in the size I need. The battery in my farm tractor is over 8 years old and came from Sams club. The batteries in my Ford diesel pickup are 6 years old and still appear to be strong. They came from Walmart. I have had good success with their batteries. I have used them for20 years.

If the tractor is going to be kept in outdoor or unheated space, having a trickle charger on it will most likely prolong the life. It's more likely to be at full power on those cold mornings when you need the tractor to start.

My pickup (diesel F250) has 2 batteries and it typically sits for 2 weeks or more at a time. The batteries are dead when I try to start it, so I've gone to parking it next to an electrical outlet and plug it into a trickle charger when I'm not using it. For my vehicles that are to far away from an outlet, I pull the battery and bring it inside and put on a trickle charger. Everything works so much better since I started doing this.

The battery arrived Thursday morning. From the time it was ordered, to Walmart sending it out, and Fed Ex keeping me updated every day where it was at, I have to say it was a pretty good experience buying the battery from Walmart. I've never done that before.

Since getting here, the box is sitting on my garage floor. I hope to install it today, but it's raining right now and really too muddy to do anything once it's installed. I might wait another week.
