So I have had for a few years a NH Tc33da its a 2004 with low hrs but there's not any were close to get it worked on.( This is my 1st so by no means a pro on Tractors) That along with wanting quick change arms and a bit more lifting power. atm I have clip on forks and I cant see them when lifting this along with reducing lifting power as there so much farther out. I was told that the new ones have alot of epa rules that are really making fixing them bad. is that true? Also I do use this to plow about 600 feet of paved drive way and 2 parking areas I do not have a cab now would you recommend one?

I traded my 1999 TC33D on a Bobcat Toolcat 5610 and it has been great for me. Shorter turning, cab comfort, suspension, lifting power, and it still has a 3pt. The main drawback is it doesn't lift as high. Plowing snow is great with it. (y) New ones are the UW53.

It depends on how much you want to spend. A 30HP Cabbed tractor is going to probably be at least in the high 30K low 40K range. Open station, will be upper 20K lower 30K.

The majority of 30hp tractor loader lift capacities are around 1000 to 1400 lbs at pin, full lift height (might be some exceptions to this but it is about normal). To get into the 2000 lbs lift at pivot you are probably going to need to step up into the 40-50HP range or premium 35hp tractors. These tractors are getting you into the 40K and up range.

I personally am not scared of the regens. I know it might not be ideal and burns more fuel when in regen but my new tractor thus far has been flawless and works right on through the regen. If you are going to buy new and get anyhting above 25hp then you will have to deal with it. I would not let this scare you away from getting a bigger tracotr with more HP. If you need it, you need it and will be disappointed if you buy something not capable to do what you want.

Lastly, if you look around, you might be able to find a nice New Holland TC40-45 for around 17 to 19K. They will handle what you are looking for and have very good visability for loader work.

I was in the same boat you are in . Had a TC 29d and I moved up to a TC 45 d . I couldn't be happier. I spent 20 K on a low Hr. mint tractor abt. hard to find it took me 2 years of waiting for a cherry one but there out there.

It saved me 20 k + on the price and no Def. or Regen. Well worth it for me. I bought it sight unseen from a reputable dealer across the country he sent me 50 pictures and 3 videos. I stayed with no cab because I have a lot of low trees I need to work around.

I opted for a D not a DA because it has fiberglass sheet metal not plastic that has been known for cracking on the DA's. Also, the grab handles are steel instead of plastic. 🍻

I hunted for a long time until finding a very clean used tractor at the end of 2018. The main reason for going with used was that I wanted to avoid the regen. Complaints haven't been as plentiful the last few years. I still prefer to run at lower RPM's for some work rather than wide open throttle (required for the DPF).

The size is something you'll need to think about because you know the tasks it will need to perform. Snow hasn't been very plentiful here recently, but my tractor handles an 8' plow that was repurposed form a 3/4 ton pickup.

Any of the major household name brands should be OK. I was open to other brands when I shopped, but Kubota has been preferred because of good experiences with them - and Messicks is 5 miles away when I want the official filters, fluids, etc.

The current tractor has a cab. After 4 open station tractors it is great. Pollen, deer flies, bees, dust and other irritating things are on the other side of the glass. Winter work can be done in a flannel shirt. If the schedule requires it I can go mow 3-1/2 acres AFTER taking a shower and wearing nice clothes, park the tractor and go to a restaurant.

Forks on a QA frame work better than forks on a bucket. The load is closer to the tractor so the capacity isn't as reduced. It's also better for seeing what you're doing. It still takes seat time / experience to get really proficient. Some guys have added remote cameras to help them.
