Thats because I space the bales about a foot apart. Butted together, they can fit in an 8 space. Ive already done it. I would want to have strong as possible sides though. If you look at the engine picture, you can see the gear drive Holset air compressor on my Ford.
Hay Dude, not trying to be "negative Nancy" but looking at that load of hay, it would appear to be too wide to re-latch your drop down side on the deckover dump. It would also appear to have way too much force against the front bulkhead and tailgate without the side wall support.

Okay, my bad, I didn't notice they were spaced, I just noticed they were about flush with your big trailer, I assume it is 102".
Triple axles do an excessive amount of tire scrubbing in turns.
Nah, I really want the fold down sides for bales, pallets, etc.
Like this one with 3)8k axles and 16’ long.
I might see if I can get by with 2) 8k axles.
I dont understand these trailer ratings. My Kaufman has 2) 16k axles, but it’s rated for 38,500lbs. Thats 6500lbs of pin weight.
The dump trailers are all rated by the sum total of the axle weights or even less.
For example, PJ has a dump with 3) 8ks and they rate it at 21,000 not 24,000 or more which is LESS that the axles added together. But they offer a 2) 8k axle version at 16,000lbs. :confused3:
I don’t know what Load Trail will give me with 3) 8k axles.
