Building my Fence

   / Building my Fence #71
Center stretching: On a section of field fence, maybe 100-150 feet long, I can stretch it from one end until 50% of the crimp is gone, and it will be very tight on that end but still floppy loose on the other end. Only by walking back and forth, lifting and shaking the wire, can I get a more even tension. But my ground has never been smooth or grassy like in the fencing videos.

I imagine the same would happen with center stretching of a longer section.

Most fixed knot field fence I've used came in 330' rolls so if you stretched from the center that would be roughly half way between for a 330' roll.

You can get 660' rolls but that is longer than I want to work with.
