bush hog throwing objects

My brush hog has thrown 4 in dia foot long chunks of tree 30-40 ft. I have chains front and rear and have never had anything get near me or the tractor. When it throws stuff really bad is when I have it up high eating a tree from the top down or drive over chunks of limbs on the ground. When it throws stuff it seems to be exclusively out the sides, mostly the right side. No chins on the sides.

I know a guy whose Uncle got his neck broke and killed him,when a piece of wood came out the front of a bushhog and hit him.
