CASE model 310 crane tractor

Hi I wondering if anyone has heard of this thing - or if its a one of a kind. It's from an estate sale, the lady says it will lift a car. hydr boom, hydr winch, gd wrking order, takes gas.

I need something to move logs a few hundered yards on old trails. Logs are up to 18" diameter, and I need something to lift those logs - so being cheap one machine hopefully could do both.

I've never seen anything like it. Pretty neat machine. Ballast would be mighty important, but it looks sturdy, doesn't it. Sorry I can't acutally help with your question, but I appreciate you posting the picture anyway.

I tend to agree with Moss. The only way I would use that to move logs would be to lift them and back a trailer under, then lower the logs. Any kind of movement with something that high/heavy, I don't think you can keep it from rolling.

If you do use it to move logs, keep the boom as LOW to the ground as you can and go as SLOW as it will go, with your hand constantly on the boom hydraulics, so you can instantly lower it to the ground.

High lift, logging road, little ballist, and no ROPS should never be used in the same story.......
