Loader Chain hooks on loader

I have three on my loader, and one on each of my bh buckets. I also put one on my brother's loader for him.

Real good stuff...real good guy to deal with.

I was looking at my quick attach bucket on the la525 and the plate that is welded across the top is not even with the front of bucket. It appears that the bolt on hook will not sit flush at front of bucket. It would have to be moved back a bit. Then the under side looks like it would be drilled right through the weld seam?? Anyone else tackle this issue on this loader?

This has not been an issue for MANY customers.

Thanks kennyd. I got my order in for a couple grab hooks and a drill bit.

<snip>
The lip itself is not strong enough, so do not hook chains to it (not to mention that the size/shape of the lip is not right for any chain hooks I have ever seen).
The "lip" on the bucket of my M4700 FEL fits the hook of a chain just fine.

And you can tell by the crenulated surface others have proven it is NOT strong enough for heavy loads :)

Crenulated...I just learned a new word!

Anyway, that is why I welded a pipe under the lip. Unfortunately, that would make hooking the grab hooks as in the photo not possible.

I have the same loader as you. The bolt ons from Kenny worked perfectly. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1452371521.294810.jpg

I also added a Clevis inside the bucket center for a 1/2 inch shackle but am planning on adding another one on the rear outside of the bucket sandwiching the bucket body.

Here's a tip. When you try to get the nut and washers inside the SSQA mount, stack them all up on an Allen wrench with a couple of fingers holding it up through the bolt hole. Then push the bolt down through the washers and start it in the nut which you are holding up with your fingertips. Switch to a wrench to hold it and tighten down.

Thanks for the pics and tip. I was thinking it was going to be fun trying to get the washers and nut on.
